Potential big note on OT Ismael Camara OnTexasFootball can report that a decision date timeline of Gilmer (Texas) High 4-star++ OT Ismael Camara may not remain November/December. OTF heard from multiple sources Saturday that the 6-6, 335-pounders timeline could move up to July for a decision. That could be in the first half of July, as well. Should that happen, Texas should be considered the leader over SMU and others. Camara made an unofficial visit to Texas last Saturday-Sunday. He made two unofficial visits to SMU in June as well.

With this part of the offseason kind of slow due to the dead period, I ve thought of this while I sit here at work on a Sunday. Quinn Ewers, I can’t help but think what his career would have looked like if he could have stayed healthy. His last year at Texas was tough to watch at times just by looking at the difference in the throws he made from Michigan to the later part of the season. As president of the Quinn Ewers fan club I will always be proud of the career he did have. Jammal Charles, had a tremendous career both in college and the NFL. I ve always wondered what 2009 would have looked like with him in the backfield for one final season. Another National C…

We’re 68 days away from Texas football, and today’s group has a good mix of old-school and more recent Longhorns. Derek Kerstetter was a steady, versatile piece up front with 58 games played, 49 starts and experience at guard, tackle and center. Larry Stephens helped Texas win the 1959 SWC title before becoming a second-round NFL Draft pick. Ken Hackemack also belongs in the mix as a four-year letterman who was drafted by the Chiefs. No one on the Texas roster currently wears 68 (65-68 actually).

Thought this was a great look into the workouts the Texas quarterback room partakes in during the summer. Front squats, band work, hip mobility, explosive RDLs. Good stuff here. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaI0DysOoVX/?igsh=MWhnd3hjbDgxMHcyNg==

Continuing our countdown with No. 69, and this one is a little different. The clear headliner is Dan Neil, one of the best offensive linemen to ever come through Texas. Neil was a four-year starter, made 49 consecutive starts, earned consensus All-American honors in 1996 and helped Texas win both the 1995 SWC title and 1996 Big 12 title before starting on back-to-back Super Bowl teams with the Denver Broncos. Olen Underwood is the other big name here. A two-way lineman from 1962-64, Underwood was part of Texas’ 1963 national championship team, earned All-SWC honors in 1964, later played seven pro seasons and made the 1968 Pro Bowl. And since this is No. 69,…

Any news on how special teams is shaping up for this season? Haven’t heard anything for a while. Any opportunities for young players to make an impact? We’re getting some nice hype for our offense and defense, but can’t stop thinking about how the last couple seasons have been kept alive (or killed) by our special teams.

Anyone here ever use Tickpick website? It says my tickets will arrive by 9/11/26 (day before game)... I'm coming from out of town and dont want to risk not having them before my trip... Surely the seller actually has the ticket in their possession already right?

I’ve never seen such a concerted national media push to get Easton Royal to flip schools. I get LSU media pressuring him with constant propaganda about flipping to farm subs and clicks but what I’ve seen from Rivals, 247, CBS and other pushing a kid to flip is beyond ridiculous. Texas should start blocking media coverage on outlets that are pushing for a recruit to flip away from Texas in order to garner engagement.

No. 70 has been worn by some outstanding offensive linemen in Texas history. Scott Appleton headlines the list after winning the 1963 Outland Trophy and helping lead the Longhorns to a national championship. Leonard Davis became a consensus All-American before being selected No. 2 overall in the 2001 NFL Draft. More recently, Christian Jones started 48 games and was a key piece of Texas’ return to the College Football Playoff. Current No. 70: Kaden Scherer.
