I know the first inning looked bad for the Horns last night. Giving up four runs on just two hits is clearly no recipe for success in Omaha. But the performance by the Georgia pitcher in the 7-1 win for the Bulldogs was the real story of the night IMO. Fifteen strikeouts, allowing only four hits while tossing a complete game. OTF has confirmed Gilmer OT Ismael Camara will be in Austin for an unofficial visit next weekend. The 6-foot-6, 340 pounder will drive down to Austin on Saturday the 20th after finishing up Saturday/summer school. The bulk of the visit will take place on Sunday. This will be Camara's last visit before the summer dead period sets in which will prevent prospects from visiting college campuses until September. The pledge yesterday of Kasi Currie, a defensive tackle from California, was a huge pickup for Texas, literally. Currie is 6-foot-4, 315 pounds and looks like he’s cut from a block of granite. This comes two days after 15 of 16 conference athletic directors met with Big 12 commissioner Brett Yormark and told the conference that Brendan Sorsby should not play this season, some going so far as to call it a disgrace to college sports.
