Earlier this week, OTF reported there was a possibility North Forney WR Briceson Thrower wouldn’t make it to his Texas A&M official visit scheduled for this weekend. After speaking with a source close to the recruitment on Friday morning, OTF can confirm Thrower’s trip to College Station is now off the schedule. With the schedule change, the only official visit remaining on the calendar is a trip to Texas set for June 12-14. Thrower previously officially visited Illinois back in April. DESTIN, Fla. -- Today's my last day in this touristy beach town, home to the 2026 SEC Spring Meetings for the 40th consecutive year. Amazingly, it's been held at the same resort hotel each of those 40 years. The resort itself, while grand and with a gorgeous beach-line view, is obviously older and dated. Notes on the bill: - Love the part about agent's fees being restricted to 5%. That is in line with professional sports leagues. The registry is also helpful. However, I still think there is room for nefarious actors and "finders fees" that some school apparently seem to be paying "marketing reps". According to Steve Sarkisian, something is rotten in college sports. For all its good, college sports needs rules that are going to be enforced. In Sark’s own words, “Something’s got to change.” In his official 15 minute Q&A at the SEC spring meetings and in front a smaller pool of reporters later, Sark espoused the need for rules above all else. Importantly, Sark said he didn’t care where those rules came from, be it the NCAA, the SEC or anywhere else. At 6-foot-3, 230 pounds, Hammons plays his high school ball north of the Red River at Choctaw High School in the East OKC metro area. Texas softball will have a chance to defend its national title after defeating Arizona State on Sunday afternoon, 5-0, to advance to the Women's College World Series for the third straight season. The Longhorns will look to defend their title in Oklahoma City.
