Texas will face Michigan on December 31 in the Citrus Bowl, and based off of the news that just broke, Michigan will not have a head coach. Pete Thamel reports the firing is set to be for cause. Big news.

  2. This is the graphic ESPN is running for the CFP!

  3. by Cardinal Newman 17-14 in the Florida class 1 state championship. Huge upset

  4. Man it was good. Miss that guy

  5. also I will delete if not allowed Bobby, I know posting something from another cite can be a little weird.

  6. Marcus Freeman is the current betting favorite to be the New York Giants next headcoach (-250 as of yesterday). More reports of teams reaching out / interested starting to circulate (from more legitimate sources than a guy wearing a Just Fine hat taking the trash out I might add 😅). I think the Titans/Giants jobs would be a downgrade from Notre Dame (both poorly run orgs the last decade). But where it gets interesting is Baltimore and Pittsburgh could both be in the market for new coaches… Because Freeman isn’t an NFL coach, these teams can talk to him and not publicly report it. Freeman might be all in on ND, but this is something I have bookmarked… just a…

  7. 33-12 after 1st quarter. Kyla Oldacre has really improved her game. She's got quicker post up moves and blocks everything down low. This team, for being shorthanded due to injury, appears better than last years. They have more scorers in this team.

  8. Texas linebacker signee Tyler Atkinson has been awarded the High School Butkus Award presented annually to the nation's best high school linebacker. The finalists for the award included Georgia signee Nick Abrams II, and Notre Dame signees Jakobe Clapper and Thomas Davis Jr. Quite the award for the Longhorns five-star linebacker signee. Atkinson will arrive on campus at the turn of the calendar.

Anyone else feel next year is the last year of a 4 year stretch where we had our best shots to win a title in 20 years? By 23 and 24 we had coaching continuity, elite skill players, an elite defense, an experienced QB, NFL players all over, and very forgiving schedules. We also had a head start on NIL. This year we were 1 bad game away from being in the playoffs and peaking at the right time. Next year is Arch's last year, we will have NFL draft picks in Goosby and Baker, draft picks in Wingo and Mosley, experience at key spots on the defense, plus we will play a bunch of teams with new coaches. I feel like if we don't get it done next year, we will be a perennial top 1…

  11. Hilarious. Coach O is one of a kind. Pre NIL days there weren’t too many better recruiters

  13. Georgia cancels two scheduled series for the future. The first is Georgia and Louisville set for 2026 and 2027. Then the Georgia and NC State series which was much further down the road was cancelled as well. This of course comes on the heels of Alabama cancelling its series with USF in 2026. Still, Texas remains scheduled to play Ohio State in 2026, Michigan in 2027, and Notre Dame in 2028-29.

  15. A couple of updated pictures from the future Texas Football Indoor facility and the ongoing construction just south of Moncrief and DKR. Chris Del Conte mentioned the targeted completion date back at the beginning of the year as May 2026. Here is how things look currently.

  16. Guess we know why Ole Miss wasn't really in consideration for Arch when he was being recruited lol: And yes, it's real, it's on Archie's cameo page: https://www.cameo.com/archiemanning Just wanted to share this since I've never really heard him talk like that about anyone before 🤷‍♂️ Also saw a clip of him on a radio show saying that Ole Miss had no chance in keeping Lane because "You had God and Nick Saban telling him to go to LSU"

  17. I don't think I've ever seen this before, and it makes sense for an Oregon to pull something like this. They signed a 5* kid, Gatlin Bair in as part of 2024 class. Dude goes on a missionary trip, and decides to join Oregon NOW, just in time for their playoff run. How convenient! Man, I hate Oregon... https://www.si.com/college/oregon/football/oregon-ducks-recruit-gatlin-bair-hidden-gem-dan-lanning-five-star-wide-receiver

Former NFL CB Quentin Jammer admitted to being completely DRUNK in at least half his games in 2011 while he was with the Chargers “True story....... In 2011 I played completely sh*t faced drunk in at least 8 games,” Jammer wrote on X. When asked about his drinking patterns on game days, Jammer said: “Man I drank whole game and all the way home.” Interestingly enough, in 2011, Jammer ranked last out of 87 qualifying CBs in passer rating allowed, per PFF. 131.8 rating (#87 of 87) 15.9 yds/rec (#80) 6 TD allowed (#75)

  19. ...never got on a team? Now with NIL, if you don't perform, coaches will cut you. Whereas prior to NIL, coaches looked bad doing so, but not anymore. The money has changed that perception. Essentially, college athletes are pros.

  20. I have alluded to this over the past week or so, but I am monitoring a decision for DeAndre Moore. Based off of sourcing over the last month, the conversation surrounding Moore has settled on a departure, though the destination remains uncertain. The intel has flipped back and forth between an entrance to the portal and that of the NFL Draft. Right now, I lean Draft. Regardless, I am not expecting Moore back on the roster in 2026. Moore, a junior, started 11 games for Texas this season.

  21. You have guys that are fighting until the very end of the season and hoping they can reach the national title, and probably devastated when they don’t make it (especially seniors) And then you find out you’ve been invited to: - The Pop Tart Bowl - The Cheez it Citrus Bowl - The Snoop Dog Bowl -The ReliaQuest Bowl It’s pretty embarrassing. And you have people all over social media making fun of you for it. You’re very unlikely to get credit for a win in the game. It is a far cry from the Rose Bowl, etc. Things that mattered. I’m happy Notre Dame looks like crap from opting out, but I think all of these teams deserve a little emp…
