There ya have it. Thanks Bobby. I thought I remembered it being something like that but wasn’t sure. heck of a kid and always represented us well. Sad he didn’t end his career as a Longhorn but that’s the NIL driven game now a days for some.

Pretty sure he left cause the NiL package wasn’t what he wanted or we wouldn’t raise to what he was asking. I liked his production out of the backfield and thought he would have been good in rotation with whoever we brought in but I think he was asking for RB1 money that we didn’t want to commit to. there could be more but I didn’t listen to the noise or haters saying he could leave but I wish him well and hope he does well at FSU and makes it to the league to make himself some money.

The thing is, our guys that were year last year will know exactly how to get under his skin cause working against him already in practices. He might do well for them. I liked the guy until he dipped to OU. Our defense will make sure he doesn’t have good games against us for sure.

In the portal era, going 0-2 on incoming high school recruits doesn’t sting as much as it used to. Guys flip and transfer every year, just part of the game now

I live a couple stop lights from the new cedar park one…. For a “sports” store that building is insane and rumor is they’ll have a freaking Ferris wheel inside the damn place. Lol it looks bigger than the HeB Center which it’s right next to. gonna be cool to see that place when it opens that’s for sure.

I hope Baxter does well. Good kid and represented us well and always gave good interviews. Sucks that he got hurt but I hope he does well and makes it to the league.

No one said she was the tip of the spear and I didn’t even say she was the best Kavan definitely showed how it’s done 2 years in a row. I said tip of the hat to Canady in a show of respect and said she did help put eyes on sport for these women. There’s a difference in saying she did well versus saying she did “nothing for the sport” when being one of top pitchers of her time isn’t a small feat. She couldn’t beat us, we got to prove that twice when it mattered but no need to sit here and bash her was my point.

She was dominant and brought eyes to the sport. Being the face of NIL meant trickle effects to helping others in the sport get more money too. She seems like a good person who cared what younger fans were looking up to as well. And every sport now is almost about NIL mercenaries everywhere the game has changed lol

I mean you can’t knock what Canady did for the sport, and the fact she took Tech from nobody to back to back finals….. we were just better as a team. Tip of the hat to Mrs Canady but Hook Em cause we’re the back to back champs. 🤘

Not saying they haven’t….. but did they place a bet on their OWN team, while playing QB (which is default a “leadership” role regardless if starting or not. Kinda hard to try to compare if anyone on our team happened to gamble. But gambling on baseball or basketball vs your own team is completely different imo 9,000 bets including ones when you just transferred in with $5mil coming your way is wild. You would think once you had $5 mil you would stop using your homies name/account in case it would cost ya that said $5 mil. Yet here we are.
