After yesterday's 7-4 loss to the Bulldogs, the Longhorns will go for the series win today at 1 p.m. The game is live on ESPN.

 

If Texas wins and Auburn finishes a sweep of Texas A&M in College Station today, the Longhorns will be all alone in second place in the conference standings.

Luke Harrison is on the mound for Texas.

State is going with Charlie Foster. A 6-4 sophomore lefty, he’s 0-2 with a 5.67 ERA in 13 appearances (eight starts), 33 hits and 21 earned runs allowed in 33.1 innings, 36 strikeouts and 17 walks.

Watching the Missouri-Georgia baseball game.  Texas is projected as a #3 overall seed, so that means they would face Florida in a Super Regional if those standings hold up through the end of conference tournament weekend and Texas wins their Regional.

Didn't look like Monsour got a good read on that single to center by Parker. It's an RBI single that puts State up early, 1-0.
