I can't be the only one here who understands options, price action, currencies, bonds, precious medals, commodities, and equities. Not big on BTC, it's way too volatile for my liking.

Prompt: this year texas a&m was ranked #1 in college baseball presseaon and was viewed as the best team in college baseballafter losing a bunch of games to start the season, they are no longer rankedhas there ever been a #1 team in any of the major college sports - baseball, basketball, football, softball, or volleyball that had as epic of a collapse as the A&M baseball team has had this year? Response: Texas A&M baseball’s fall from a preseason #1 ranking to unranked by mid-March 2025 is indeed a dramatic collapse, and it’s worth examining whether any other #1-ranke…

I think it's time to start the bubble watch. Our season can still go either way, but let's start looking at the competition for the last 12 spots in the tournament. The matrix currently has tOSU as the last 9, and losing a close game to Michigan probably didn't hurt it much. Tens are WVU, Nebraska, OU, and Vandy, but OU and Vandy would be 11 seeds if only the brackets updated since Saturday are counted. Elevens are Texas, SDSU, BYU, Arkansas, Georgia (only 5 since the autobids will spill over into one of the 11 seeds), but Georgia would be replaced by WF if only the brackets updated since Saturday are counted. In the 24 brackets updated since Saturday…

I rarely do this. I just want to say thank you to Bierce. It takes a lot of time watching game after game to put out a detailed bubble thread like he does. He does this on every site he has been on. He does it even when Texas has no chance to get in. He does not get paid to do it. So I just wanted to say thank you for doing it.

Elijah Barnes notes ... The freshman linebacker from Dallas (Texas) Skyline reported to Texas at 243 pounds. He is now weighing 235-236 pounds. That is an ideal weight for Barnes with his frame. He's clocking right under 21 MPH on the GPS in Torre Becton workouts. Barnes is working at multiple linebacker spots, and is expected to be part of the Texas special teams coverage units in 2025.

I started to dive into Texas basketball history recently and saw that Rick Barnes was the winningest coach in Texas history and was even at Texas longer than Mack Brown was being at UT for 17 years. I was in 5th grade when he was fired and did not start watching Texas basketball until Shakas Smarts first year, so I am not knowledgeable about what the general consensus was in the Texas community regarding Rick Barnes at the time. I am just curious as to what was the public opinion like about the decision back then and what the reasoning was for firing him. Was it similar to the reason Texas fired Mack Brown? Bonus question: Would y'all have prefered he was still the T…

What has this week done for Rodney Terry? Entering the SEC Tournament the future of Rodney Terry at Texas was when, not if. Now after wins over Vanderbilt and Texas A&M very likely resulting in Texas getting a bid in the field of 68, Terry's tenure has life in Austin. OnTexasFootball does not believe Terry is assured of being retained just by getting in the Field of 68. So the next question is what does Terry need to accomplish in the NCAA Tournament to get another year in Austin. The first scenario is very simple, can't drop the play-in game and be secure. The problem with losing in the Round of 68 would be trajectory of the program. From Elite…

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Kelsey Daniel of the men's track and field program made history on Friday at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships winning the long jump and scoring 10 team points for Texas. Daniel's winning mark of 8.16m (26-9.25) not only made him the first male Longhorn to win an NCAA indoor long jump title, but also broke Marquise Goodwin's 14-year school record. Three of Daniel's marks would have won the title – his second-round jump of 7.97m and his fourth-round jump of 8.11m. The jump of 8.16m also took down the Trinidad and Tobago national indoor record. Solomon Washington was 11th in the long jump with his mark of 7.45m (24-5.50). Daniel's win m…
