Watching Sweet 16 on main TV with baseball game on iPad. Didn’t see any other thread on today’s baseball game. Texas leading 6-4 in tight game 2 but Mizzou had 2 men on base with no outs in bottom of 5th when reliever Max Grubbs came in to take over. 2 outs and wild pitch advanced runners to 2nd and 3rd. Clutch 3rd out on strikeout. Through 5 innings, Texas leading 6-4. Grubbs had ice in veins with 3 straight strikeouts. Hook em! 🤘🏼🐂🧡

A couple of things that stood out when looking at the ilst. 1) Wow, forget how crazy Case Keenum's stats were when he threw for 5000 yards and 40 TDs in 3 consecutive seasons with 19,217 total yards completed and 69% completion rate. That's 2000 yards more than any other QB in history. Art Briles had that offense humming before he jumped to Baylor. 2) Hoping Arch outperforms his Uncle Eli who threw for 10,119 yars, 81 TDs, 35 INTs and 61% completion rate. …

Texas split a double hitter against MSU in Starkville. Lose the first game 3-4. MSU score the winning in the bottom of the 7th Texas won the second game. Texas was down 2-3 going into the top of the 7th and scored 5 runs with Miami Scott’s 3 run HR being the big blow. Next game is Sunday against MSU.

Gerry, Bobby, CJ, please inform me because I am genuinely curious if there is an end in sight. The transfer portal and NIL ERA are beyond ridiculous right now. This window for basketball is proving that if it hasn’t already. Do any of you guys know if there is an end in sight to fixing all this crap? There’s no guard rails, or loyalty anymore which is sad to see. It’s all about who can pay the most. I’m all for paying players but I don’t see how this benefits college athletics in the long run. The departure of Freddie DuBose from the Texas roster as of Tuesday afternoon opens another spot for a scholarship in the portal. Currently, the Texas scholarship count sits at 81.
