Hey OTF Community, First off I want to thank the guys for showing the recruiting map on Coffee & Football a couple weeks ago, was super cool of them to do! I updated the Texas 2026 Offers and Official Visit maps, you guys can view them at the link below. They should be interactive, if they're not please let me know. While listening to Bobby, Gerry and CJ this morning on Coffee and Football, the discussion of Sark's NIL approach came up. Sark doesn't lead with NIL, like Oregon, USC and others. He leads with culture, the city, the university and wanting players who really want to be longhorns. The comment was made by Bobby or Gerry that it's easier to go with Sark's strategy of talking money later in the recruiting process when the Horns are playing elite football and making it to the CFP Semi-Finals in back to back years. Glad Texas isn’t getting the hate but seems odd why so much negative hate solely on North Carolina for not deserving NCAA bid when Xavier looks similar as another team that barely snuck in, along with our longhorns. Xavier and NC both only won 1 quad 1 game and North Carolina Net ranking is 10 spots higher than Xavier. Other stats in favor of NC over Xavier. We discuss football recruiting here quite a bit and I started to wonder what are the differences between football versus basketball recruiting? Smaller staff for basketball, but also fewer offers as well. I never really hear about the basketball coaching staff on the road, though I am sure they are. I would think recruiting for basketball that the coaching staff has shifted from a winter focus of getting out to a recruit or prospects game to a Summer AAU tournament or shoe company sponsored event. The Texas women’s basketball team earned a No. 1 seed for the second consecutive NCAA Tournament. I realize that Mike Fisher is both loved and hated by fans of the Cowboys. He does make some good points. Quinn has the arm talent, has played thru adversity and injuries, he has overcome being benched, and having unreal expectations heaped upon him.
