Five-star LB Xavier Griffin has backed off of his verbal pledge to USC. Texas made a major move on their multi-day visit in April. I would expect an official visit to be locked to Texas soon based off that trip in the spring. Texas will be a player here moving forward.

Not only are the coaches at Texas good at their craft but they are great to listen to while doing press conferences/interviews. I especially enjoy listening to Coach Sark, Coach Schaefer and Coach Schloss. There are other coaches around the country that are hard to listen too. OTF mods…anything in the works to getting a Texas Coach to do a weekly show with you guys? Schloss does one every Monday with one of your competitors via YouTube.

Season one in the SEC has been a continuation of the Longhorn victory tour. In the “Big 4” sports (FB, MBB, WBB, baseball) the Horns collected two outright regular season championships, one co-championship, and the one not like the others has been addressed by CDC. That doesn’t even include the other conference and national championships in non-revenue sports. Anyone that didn’t think Texas was SEC ready was sadly mistaken. Thank you to CDC, Jay, Kevin, all the coaches, and most of all the student athletes that have made this possible. UPDATE: Wednesday AM Made a quick stop over at CE King High School, a familiar stop for anyone who has followed me for a bit. This was my second time this semester to stop by as well. King has some very intriguing young talent. Headlined by 2028 WR/RB Dillon Mitchell who ran 10.1 flat at the Texas Stare UIL track meet in April. 2028 DL Oswald Jacques threw shot 57’ and disc 163’ as a freshman as well. Joe Flacco at 6ft 6in makes Dillon Gabriel at 5ft 11in look more like the team kicker. Sanders and Pickett both listed at 6ft 2in. Sanders looks shorter than that. Not a Cleveland fan but will be interesting to see who is the starting QB for the Browns this fall.
