  2. Since Quandre Diggs is on a roster, there are Longhorns still in the NFL playoffs who've played for Mack Brown (Diggs), Charlie Strong (Diggs, Lil'Jordan Humphrey, PJ Locke, Malcolm Roach, Brandon Jones, Poona Ford and Michael Dickson), Tom Herman (Humphrey, Locke, Roach, Jones, Ford, Dickson, Jahdae Barron, Sam Ehlinger, Brenden Schooler, Jordan Whittington and Byron Murphy) and Steve Sarkisian (Barron, Schooler, Whittington, Murphy and Bill Norton).

  4. We think Baker can kick in and play guard but we haven't seen it. We still have a huge hole at LG. That was our biggest issue going into the portal. The portal is now closed and we still don't have an answer. LSU just signed the guard from Maryland and Tech just signed the guard from Louisville. What is our plan to solve LG? 🤘

  5. Here we go folks. Coach needs a win at home against the Farmers. Here's hoping Aaliyah Crump returns today! Jordan Lee needs to get her confidence back after a disastrous game at South Carolina. This team needs to realize how important possessions are in tight games. I expect to see Booker have a great game and not turn the ball over so much. Rori needs to not let her opponent beat her like Raven Johnson did Thursday. Defense, defense, defense!!

  7. Texas A&M coach Bucky McMillan opens up the postgame press conference complementing Texas for being a good team. He felt it was anybody's game, but he felt the Aggies simply made shots in the second half after a great first half defensively.

  8. This post is not what you think. By change, I mean philosophically. Rod B and others speculate that Sark is moving on from the "big human" prototype and embracing more athletic tackle types to play inside. Flood can develop tackles like nobody's business (let's not forget that). The game is evolving on inside line play and that might be a good thing for Flood. Last year (especially against GA) showed that quick, explosive defensive lineman trump "big humans" on the inside. Perhaps Sark's evolution of the prototypical lineman plays into Floods strengths? (developing athletic lineman as opposed to "people pushers") I'm being optimistic...........I know. …

I moved to this Board because of the BS over at IT with posters constantly attacking each other and making the board unreadable. You are always going to have moaners and groaners because this is their forum to get their frustrations and anxieties out without letting them leak into their own lives. But then the sunshine pumpers come along and make things a million times worse with the attacks on fandome and name calling. Then the back and forth personal attacks take over and you literally have to peruse pages of ridiculous personal attacks and self righteousness. If you just let the moaners and groaners post without the constant jabs they usually get over it and move o…

  12. One of Nation's Top DL Recaps Trip to Texas *** While the Junior Day was a bit smaller to begin the 2026 recruiting year, there was nothing small with getting Sierra Canyon (Calif.) DL Kasi Currie on campus for the Texas staff. The 6-foot-5-inch, 315-pound defensive lineman made the trip to Austin on Saturday and came away with glowing remarks from his trip. This was Currie's first trip to Austin, but there is already some familiarity on campus. "Just seeing my boy Richard Wesley," Currie said of the highlights from his visit. "He just got out here and he was telling me about it over the phone a couple of days ago and I just had to come out and see it.…

  13. Texas has offered 2027 Smithson Valley QB Ty Knutson. Knutson is a familiar name to the board after appearing as a target towards the back end of the fall. He appeared on campus for the Arkansas game in late November and returns today where he received an offer from the Longhorns. As we know, QB offers are very precise from the Texas staff and Knutson appears to be their guy for 2027.

  14. Well, here we are. Past the deadline for players to request to enter the portal (unless they're on one of the two teams playing for a natty). Our mysterious Guard has either requested to enter the portal, or he didn't. And if he didn't, there's no going back now. Yes, there would be many other things that have to happen before he could wind up on the 40. His previous team can delay two business days before fulfilling his request, which would put us into late Wednesday or early Thursday (sorry guys). And of course, even if he requested to enter, at any point he could decide to stay where he was. Then, if he does officially get entered into the portal, Texas wou…

  17. What is your favorite stat or random bit of info. Here are my top 3 1 - My oldest kid is 11.5 and he has not lived in a world where ATM has beaten the horns 2 - We have one NFL coach alum/player in Kyle Shanny (mostly since he didn't play much so people forget he is a former player and not a Mike Mcdaniel type...and his dad being the door to the NFL) 3 - And lastly, that our 2020 QB room housed 4 (.5ish) collegiate starters: Ehlinger being a multi year starter Casey Thompson starts for us and then transfers to half the colleges in the county to play Hudson Card starts at Purdue Jaquinden Jackson starts at RB for Utah and then Arky A…

Greetings OTF Community! I thought it might be interesting to get the communities input into their thoughts on the top issues they would like to see changed regarding the portal. All I ask are two things: Do not turn this into a meme fest. I love them, but really want you to use your words. And I think we have seen enough Joe Zura memes to last a lifetime. When you list a problem, justify it it and provide a solution as to why. It is easy to complain, yet harder to find solutions. I will offer an issue that I would like to see addressed to start things off: Agent certification- Whomever represents an athlete has to meet a certain criteria. No, the…

Like anything else in the portal, it will come down the NIL demands/ask and if it is a fit. Umanmielen posted 45 tackles and 9 sacks in 2025 for the Rebels.

  20. Two stops today for Muschamp - that I know of now. Both include 2027 five-star defensive prospects. *** First is Orange Lutheran (Calif.) defensive lineman Marcus Fakatou who was on campus for the Arkansas game in late November. Fakatou is listed as the No. 2 defensive lineman in the country per the composite rankings. Kenny Baker has been working on this one. And Honor Fa'alave Johnson out of San Diego, California (Cathedral Catholic) who is currently ranked as the No. 1 safety in the country and a top-20 player per the composite. *** Two big time targets out of California. Muschamp is hunting.

A couple of returners *** Texas safety Xavier Filsaime has announced he is back for 2026 with the Texas Longhorns. *** Additionally, a source tells me Michael Terry III is back with the Horns officially in 2026 as well. As y'all know, Terry received a lot of praise towards the backend of the season from team sources following his transition to running back.

  23. So far, five former Longhorns have accepted Senior Bowl game invites. Panini Senior Bowl - Mobile, AL • DB Michael Taaffe • CB Malik Muhammad East-West Shrine Bowl - Frisco, TX • OL DJ Campbell • EDGE Ethan Burke • DB Jaylon Guilbeau • TE Jack Endries *** Will keep tabs if any additional Longhorns end up participating. But for now, this is where we are at as we inch near Draft season.
