The recruiting trail remains hot for the Longhorn staff. Steve Sarkisian is in DFW following his induction into the East-West Shrine Bowl Hall of Fame in Frisco yesterday. As a result, Sarkisian and offensive coordinator Kyle Flood are currently at Lewisville to see 2025 OL Michael Fasusi. Fasusi was at Missouri during the Texas Junior Day, so it goes without saying that this face time visit is important for the Longhorns.

A Texas offer has been extended for the class of 2025. Coach Blake Gideon and Jeff Banks were in communication with Klein Oak cornerback Courtland Guillory. Guillory has absolutely rocketed up charts this January with over 14 offers coming in and the Longhorns beginning his month of February with a bang as well. The 6-foot-1 cornerback is scheduled to visit TCU and Houston this weekend.

Any early returns on his recruiting chops? Keeping Brandon Brown in the fold and setting up a big 2015 interior DL class seems like one of the most pressing recruiting issues we are facing. Also, any indication we are reaching out to specific Spring DT portal players? If it's the right guys I can see them targeting 2 DTs in the Spring to get the numbers right in the short term.

Texas Director of Player Personnel Billy Glasscock has reportedly accepted the General Manager's role at Ole Miss for Rebels' coach Lane Kiffin. Glassclock, a successsful former recruiting coordinator and player personnel head for both Minnesota and North Carolina State, was one of Steve Sarkisian's first hires in Austin. Glasscock helped oversee three consecutive top three recruiting classes for the Longhorns. I am told to expect to see some restructuring in the Texas personnel department as part of this move.
