Gerry, Bobby and I have done various studies regarding this topic over the years. I know thinking change over time and there are ebbs and flows. But I’m driving to the Houston area today and it occurred to me how good Brenham has been to the Longhorns. From Roosevelt Leaks to Limas Sweed to Malcom Brown, there have been some great Texas football players who’ve come from the land of Blue Bell. It’s hard to top the Brenham pipeline in both quality and quantity.

Ladies and Gentlemen, maybe some of you remember me from IT and maybe some of you don’t. but a long time ago, I made a post online about one of my great friend’s barbecue restaurant in port Neches, TX called Red Bird Barbecue. Since then, Red Bird has been put on the map as Texas Monthly’s #4 ranked barbecue in the great state of Texas. Which I think is a substantial feature in itself. Today I returned to Red Bird. And let’s just say, Amir Jalali never ceases to amaze me. Bringing his Persian background into Texas Barbecue is nothing short of unique, yet amazing. #’s1-3 better watch out. Red Bird is on the way to the top. Make yo…

We’re down to just 34 days before the Horns take on the Buckeyes…. Not even asking the question today, despite the title. Ricky. It’s Ricky Williams.

This morning I’ve been doing research on the betting side of things for Texas/Ohio State. Here are the betting statistics for the big season opener: - The public sides with the Horns on both the spread (65% of the money) and outright winner (a whopping 96% of the money). - The game is the most bet, by total money wagered, for all Week 1 games. - The matchup is the second most bet game, by number of bets, for Week 1, falling behind Alabama/FSU. - Both teams are the betting favorites (+550) to win the CFP. 19.5% of the total money is on Texas to win it all, while 8.7% is on Ohio State. - The Longhorns are responsible for 12.5% of all ticke…

What else, besides OTF obviously, do you all watch/listen to on YouTube/Spotify/etc? I don't necessarily mean Texas-related either, but more general sports related, non-sports related, whatever. I'm kind of curious to see what yall are doing when not on OTF. What are your go to shows after exhausting OTF options?

Obviously we’ve done nothing but preach that Manning will most likely be here another year and we seriously doubt he leaves after one season, but that’s not stopping Vegas.

I'll be the first to admit, I haven't always been a girls sports fan. It always seemed clumsy and unathletic. It wasnt until about ten years ago I started watching volleyball. Then my brothers and sisters kept having girls who have grown to love sports. The W is an exciting league, no, not because of the soap opera that it has become lately. If you haven't seen the dominance of A'ja, the finesse of Napheesa, the do everything Stewie, the jumper of Sabrina, the walking triple double AT. That's before you drop a level and get to Betts, Awa Fam, Hannah Hidalgo, Oliva Miller, KiKi Rice, and Azzi Fudd. I like where it's going, hell I even like Unrivaled. Especially the "All St…

"There's nobody who's able to cut like Bijan in the NFL," Barkley said for the NFL Top 100 countdown. "There's not. You can go argue with your mom about that, I'll be honest. Trust me -- I love myself and I think I have great cuts, and there's nobody. The way he's able to -- his vision, his agility and he can catch the ball, too. So it's gonna get scary for a lot of people as he continues to figure it out." We are now 36 days away from the Longhorns taking on the Buckeyes in Columbus for the season opener. Who is your favorite Texas player to wear No. 36? Some options today include... William Graham Unfortunately I can not find a picture of William Graham, William Graham played as a defensive back for the Texas Longhorns from 1979 to 1981. In 1980, he recorded four interceptions in 11 games. In 1981, he had seven interceptions in 11 games, tying the school record, leading the Southwest Conference, and ranking third nationally. His 11 career interceptions placed him fourth all-time at Texas. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the fifth round of the 19…
