Won every important stat line except score 1) tush push needs to stop 2) Livingstone needs to catch that TD. Tate double caught a ball on a bad throw 3) Sark needs to open up the playbook 4) 2 penalties on their TD drive cost us there 5) arch, stop trying to throw the ball throw a wall and hit your receiver in the hands when they’re 5-10yards away

Remember everyone, the national media likes their money too. There's a reason texas was ranked #1 in every poll but also an underdog to ohio state. 1. If they are wrong, they can now create a massive negative talking point on that Longhorn Logo which brings lots of clicks and attention for their respective platforms. As @Gerry Hamilton says, they build everything up, so they can tear it down later. We all knew the offense was young and struggled a bit against our own defense which is incredible. May be the best in the country. 2. Relax. Stay off social media, and enjoy the potential growth of these players from week to week. We've had tons of all Americans/gre…

What would you say our offensive identity is under Sarkisian as the play caller? I honestly think we don’t truly have an identity…and this is not just about this game this is his entire tenure here as offensive coordinator.

...which bodes well for the running game. Connor Stroh is huge and strong as can be. I was really impressed with how well he played.

Week ones are good for overreactions and out of proportion takes that typically don't age well, so read into this as you wish. However, when scouring over the numbers and tape again this morning, there was a clear part of the passing game that felt worse than others – play action passes. The numbers back it up too. *** Arch on Play Action Pass Attempts 10 drop backs 5-10 passing 26 yards 2.6 yards per attempt 1 INT 2 turnover worthy plays Arch on Straight Drop Backs 24 drop backs 12-20 passing 144 yards 7.4 yards per attempts 1 TD 0 turnover worthy plays Perhaps par…

Texas is back in Austin and returned to the practice field on Monday morning following the season opener in Columbus against Ohio State. Want to make this a Monday trend following games this season – a conversation about the biggest performances of the weekend. Please feel free to add your picks for players with big performances. *** 2025 Week 1 vs. Ohio State Star #1: Graceson Littleton Perhaps the defensive highlight of the day in Columbus were the back to back pass breakups forced by the freshman STAR. First, the deep crosser on Jeremiah Smith where the closing speed was truly on display, and immediately after on a slot-fade by Brandon Inniss where Littleton was attached to Inniss' hip. Littleton also had a huge tackle on third down on Ohio State's final possession …

What you said on C&F. When the game slows down for Arch, he’s going to be fine. Exactly what I thought is that he was trying to play too fast and rushed his throws unnecessarily. Easy fix.

Option 1 : Condense the formations and play old school Alabama run football. Make the defense dictate what they half to do and utilize our receivers in the outside without our QB having to read against 7 to 8 defenders. We recruited big receivers so use them. Run it up their ass and throw it to our studs without our QB having to do math every play. Once he’s ready, open it up more. Until then, play old school and do what you got to do to win. Option 2: run the exact offense he would with Quinn.
