Times sure have changed since I played HS football. Our hydration station was a 10-ft piece of 1 in PVC pipe with a water hose connected at the end, and a 1 gal jar of salt tablets. Our rapid cooling zone was praying for cloud cover and rain..lol. No water break until the coaches got thirsty. No such thing as too hot back in the day.

While they are staggered, we have gotten through much of the off-season for Football, Basketball and Baseball. In each of these, we've seemingly had astounding success, albeit slightly differently in their approach. May to July is usually the season of coaches in the Media--or at least the "long format" versions compared with shorter in season availability. Sark made his usual rounds with the various Touchdown clubs, podcast, and media sites. I think he's really good at it. It can be repetitive if you listen to multiple sessions. But he has a lot to say and a lot more than traditional "coach speak." I would give somewhere between a B+ to A-. The only deduction is him having to clarify himself too often--mostly on topics he clearly has thought about and rehearsed and could have self edited better. Quinn’s most accurate deep ball game/quarter. Such a shame he got hurt in that game. He was rolling and looked so calm and confident. Even made plays under duress. That game makes me stomach hurt because it was winnable even with Quinn getting hurt. I just wish he could’ve played the whole game and see how it would’ve gone. Might have been a career day. Watching him in the first quarter was the greatest QB play I’d seen in nearly 15 years at Texas, thought he would be the #1 overall pick. Also, refs were zero help, safety no call is still all time bad. Oh and Berty boy before half. Please Spetic I’m begging do not miss important kicks is takes years off of my life.

So, I watch youtube in the afternoon when I get home to see the latest clickbait and if anything real is happening. I have clicked a few LSU videos to see what they are saying and if there is any substance. I get this guy from LSU Football 365 with a caption that says LSU Just got GREAT News… and a picture of Royal. Open the video and here is the commentator: I soon realize it is just the same stuff rehashed. Few minutes later I find a Longhorn themed post titled THIS IS BAD. Guess who the guy is? Same guy. But this is just a little less sophisticated version of what Wiltfong and ON3 are doing now.

Ross Dellenger of Yahoo! Sports. The SEC and Big 10 have both been given a deadline of 9am tomorrow to give their support or not. As I wrote earlier today, some of the compromises made recently by the senate bill are moves in the right direction. But they are not complete concessions, which I believe is necessary to move this bill forward. What is the difference between a compromise and a concession? Forcing Texas to play Texas Tech or any other team, for example, is something that never should have been addressed in the bill in the first place.
