https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7101958/2026/03/12/college-football-coach-rankings-stewart-mandel-2026/ Stewart Mandel and Bruce Feldman each came out with their Top 25 Coaches List for 2026. I'm a sucker for these Top25 lists, love the debate and seeing what others think. Stewart Mandel has Sark at #6. Probably about right; although, I'd take Sark over a few others in the Top 5. Thought it funny to see Bruce Feldman drop Sark down to #13, laughable to see names like Dabo Swinney, Kyle Whittingham, Mike Elko, Matt Campbell, Jeff Brohm all ranked ahead of Sark on Feldman's list, wtf? Two semi-final playoff appearances in past 3 years. 3 year aggregate record of…

It’s a pretty surprising statement for him to admit that he hasn’t felt like he’s had a complete roster in terms of top-level talent on both sides of the ball until this year. In the interview, he also explicitly compares this roster to the ones he had at Bama. It’s hard to argue with those assessments on paper. I think Texas has the best roster in the country going into the 2026 season. But Sark also needs to elevate his coaching to match those claims. This might be the best chance he ever gets at Texas to win it all—can’t squander this roster.

Texas shortstop Adrian Rodriguez’s hand procedure was successful, Jim Schlossnagle said after Tuesday’s 10-8 win over Texas State at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Rodriguez, who underwent offseason hand surgery, had a staple removed that was used in the initial procedure. According to Schlossnagle, it was discovered that Rodriguez was allergic to cobalt and nickel, which were the materials used to manufacture the staple. The negative reaction caused the inflammation, pain and discomfort Rodriguez has experienced throughout the season. Performed by Dr. Steven Shin, the surgeon for Rodriguez’s initial surgery, who also operated on Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer’s …

Texas offered 2028 4-star QB Graham Simpson earlier this year. He's the younger brother of soon-to-be first round NFL Draft pick Ty Simpson. Simpson told me at the time: "This one meant a lot. I mean, if you were watching college football for the first time and you wanted to know who the true blue bloods were, Texas is one of them. I mean, the Vince Young’s and Colt McCoys, they are two of the greats, and getting an offer from them is definitely a dream come true." I exchanged messages with Simpson's dad today, who told me "I’m sure we will be back in Austin in June." They've been to Texas twice. Once for Alabama/Texas in 2022, and Simpson camp…

That was an awesome win over a very good Michigan team last night. The Lady Longhorns are playing their best basketball of the season at exactly the right time. This season is also a great example of why the SEC matters. Back in January and February, Texas lost 3 of 8 games, including that 16-point loss to Vanderbilt on February 10. I remember Coach Vic challenging this team in that stretch, and it feels like that moment galvanized them. Since then, they’ve taken their defensive intensity to another level and they haven’t lost since. 🤘🏼🧡 That SEC gauntlet is paying off now. Add in a strong non-conference schedule, and Texas was built for this March run, even wh…

Barstool Longhorn posted this: ”Hearing from a student staffer Texas and Sark may be bringing on a BIG name in an “offensive advisor/offensive coordinator” type role.” This may not be the BIGgest name in the wild, but a quick google search tells me David Cutcliffe’s current status is “Retiring from his SEC administrative role effective March 31, 2026.” Pretty freaking clean as timing goes. What do y’all think? Do we finally land the Manning Whisperer and add the final infiniti stone to Sark’s gauntlet? 👀

Texas back to back national champions and SEC champions. That puts the men’s team winning conference consecutively all the way back to my Dad’s era in 1980.

I don't get the national media. Texas just destroyed a 2 seed (top 10 offensive team btw) and everyone else to this point including SC in the SEC championship, yet people still talk primarily about UConn, SC, and UCLA being the favorites to win the whole thing. Something about our style of play isn't sexy to the media or storylines. Tired of the Midrange Madi being the token Texas storyline and nothing else. Rori's leadership, control of flow, and mix of chaotic and discipline defense is not being noticed enough. She has been as important as Madi has to our success and possibly more because of the intangibles. It's pretty absurd that people would pick SC to go all t…
