Former top 40 recruit now So. Alabama DT Jahiem Oatis is planning on redshirting and entering the transfer portal. This could be a big get in the offseason for the Longhorns if the piece fits. Would need guaranteed playtime which is the reason for the move by the player.

And in the last three possessions of the half, your team was in or near the red zone, and 1) he suffered a strip sack, 2) on 3rd and 16, you run up the middle for a short gain when you are in easy fg range even if you take a sack, and 3) he threw a horrible pick at the goal line. Money well spent? Cowboys still lead going to the half and can win this game, but . . . damn.

Important note on Texas 4-star S commit Zelus Hicks One reason Texas isn't heavily pursuing another 2025 safety right now is there is still at least a 50-50 chance Zelus Hicks ends up reclassifying to the 2025 class. OTF would probably put it at a 75% chance he ends up in the 2025 class, as of today. Hicks, 6-1.5 and 190-pounds, committed to the Longhorns September 12. Safeties coach Blake Gideon and area recruiter Tashard Choice led the recruitment of Hicks. Hicks attended the Mississippi State game, and may be back for the Georgia game. The possibility also remains his family moves to the DFW area in the future.

Thoughts and opinions from worst to best. Interested to hear what others think. Vanderbilt: Better than predicted, but still not better than anyone else remaining. Florida: They may end up being worse than Vandy if they fall apart, but offensively they have some life. Criminal Sooners: Horrible on offense, and, despite all the talk about their defense, only in the upper 40s nationally. Arkansas: Not as good as the criminals defensively, but they can run the ball and have the ability to score. Kentucky: This team is better defensively than the criminals. Easy 3 set sweep of the match, 25-23, 25-18, 25-14 over #18 Florida. Kills were even at 36, but blocking and serving were the big differences--12 blocks by us, 5 by them. Singletary with 2 solo and 8 assists. Kahahawai with 6 assists. 6/6 aces/errors by Texas serving, 4/11 by Florida. Next match not until next Sunday in Lexington against #13 Kentucky which is 9-6, 3-1 on the season. UK is 0-5 against top ten teams, losing 3-1 to Nebraska, Louisville, Stanford, and Purdue and 3-2 to Penn State. Vandy nearly pulls the upset with Mizzou and now upsets Bama! Texas' three game midseason stretch has now become the marathon of the season. Winning all three plants Texas as the best team with the best wins of any team...period. Sark will have to run multiple different films for the team to show just how daunting the task is for this stretch to make sure they take each seriously. Going to truly have to EARN it this season. On the upside, SEC Shorts will certainly have Vandy fully pimping to the funk in their next video....... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
