September, !959 I'm 8 years old, I grew up in The Avenues, Hyde Park its early evening and I hear the roar of the crowd, and I ask my mother, what is that? She says that is the crowd at the Longhorn football game. I sat on the porch listening in excitement till I fell asleep. the next day talked to my mother about going to a game. She said, honey, you are a little young, maybe in a couple of years. Two years latter, 1961, at the age 10, I was in the fourth grade at Baker school. Another week, another honor for one of Kyle Flood's offensive linemen. Texas LT Kelvin Banks Jr. has been named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his play against Mississippi State on Saturday. Through five weeks, Banks becomes the third different Texas offensive lineman to receive the honor from the SEC, joining Cam Williams after Colorado State and Jake Majors after Michigan.

Make sure and tune in once this year before he goes pro. He's looking potentially special this year. Looks like a potential future multi-year NFL All-Pro level RB. 82-845 for 10.3 per carry and 13 TD's in 4 games, including 192 on Oregon and 26-259 on Washington State last night. That's after 1,347 rushing and 569 receiving and 19 TD's as a sophomore.

McGuire holds 24 offers and took official visits to Texas Tech and Arkansas in the summer and has trips to Clemson, Vanderbilt and Auburn squared up for this season. The No. 1 takeaway from Saturday was Kalen DeBoer and Jalen Milroe have the ability to overwhelm a talented opponent. And Ryan Williams is special, and a bad motor scooter in DeBoer's offense. I remember watching this in the theater in March 1998 and thinking this guy is a criminal interloper fan. Apologize for the cussing, but it's too true to pass up. From the licking and polishing bowling balls to the pederasty, it's pure criminal sooner stuff: FBI raid in the late 1980s, probation for cheating after every title under Wilkinson and Switzer, one of the most penalized programs in the history of college football, have always had to pay to get most of their players from out of state, but they think they're respectable. After all the positive behind the scene stuff about him during spring and the summer i didn’t think we would be five games into the season and him having zero sacks. What do you guys think? Is he just limited athletically at this level? He gets pressure but can’t seem to get there quick enough to get the QB to the ground.

Spent some time yesterday watching Ole Miss vs Kentucky. Biggest takeaway is the OM defence. More spastically, their portal talent across the board on that side of the ball. I went to their website and noticed that almost all of that side of the ball played for someone else last year. Gerry didn't you mention that they had a lot of success in their talent acquisition due to increased portal budget increases. I would be interested in hearing what you guys think about their performance yesterday in general and specifically Walter Nolan III. He can be a load but seems to take a lot of plays off.
