He’s been suspended from the team since August.  Higher likelihood he ends up at Last Chance U than Texas.

Unless Sark wants the DT version of Agiye Hall.

I get it, but what did he actually get suspended for underlying the "violation of team rules" reason? A violation of team rules is very vague, there's no criminal matter out there I've seen, and Hugh Freeze was fired for a reason (he sucked). People make mistakes. Did he really do something that bad?

That said, his recruitment was not ideal and I bet he asks too much for what Texas would value him at anyway. I also don't believe the conference updated their one-year bench requirement for SEC-to-SEC transfers during the spring window. Maybe that's in the works or I missed it, but he might have to sit a year at SEC schools. We (or his agent) might kick the tires, but not sure it goes anywhere like you said.

  • You have my attention. Harkless recorded 3 sacks this season at 6-3, 345.  10 pressures from up the middle would have been tied for 2nd on this year's Texas DL.

  • There are some very firm prerequisites I would have for Texas in regards to portal targets this year: 1. Coming off of season-ending injury? Crossed off the list. 2. I want a seamless positi

  • My thing with A&M flirting with high dollar WR is pretty simple.  Until they get a quarterback that’s able to consistently complete 10 yard passes, none of their moves mean anything to me.

If I recall correctly, there were drug issues, violence issues, and domestic violence issues in high school.  Then got suspended for whatever he did at Auburn.

I just want some portal lineman from Iowa,Minnesota etc is that to much to ask?

You'll have cam coleman for 10 million a year while Arch gets mauled and you're gonna love it

He’s really good, but if the top 5-7 WRs all return and Royal reclassifies to 26 and enters with Bishop, would Texas still take a big-time receiver out of the portal? Seems like that would create the potential for major attrition. Not saying it’s a bad thing—I think Sark NEEDS to upgrade at receiver—just wondering what it all means for the receiver room dominoes.

Did I miss something? Is Royal thinking of reclassifying?

0 snaps this year. Could be a good player, but not one I envision Texas pursuing for immediate play time

Corn.
Fed.

Max Johnson entering the Transfer Portal for a 4th time at nearly 25 years old isn't being talked about enough. Dude has literally played for Ed O, Jimbo Fisher, and Mack Brown.

6’4” 205?  I know we wanted him last year but this doesn’t look like an ideal experienced portal lb pickup for us.

Well I mean the scholarship level is at 105 now so never know, ofc if he demands too much money then it’s a pass

I guess it depends on the reason he is leaving. Passed over for pt and needs a fresh start?  In that case can he wait to develop or does he want to be on the field soon?  Are we willing to pay him to develop?  I would expect this type of portal player to go to a byu or Utah or Arizona but to be fair I know nothing about his time at usc so far.  Is he Akana 2.0?

There is no spring window anymore, it's just the one portal window.
