  • You have my attention. Harkless recorded 3 sacks this season at 6-3, 345.  10 pressures from up the middle would have been tied for 2nd on this year's Texas DL.

  • There are some very firm prerequisites I would have for Texas in regards to portal targets this year: 1. Coming off of season-ending injury? Crossed off the list. 2. I want a seamless positi

  • My thing with A&M flirting with high dollar WR is pretty simple.  Until they get a quarterback that’s able to consistently complete 10 yard passes, none of their moves mean anything to me.

I’ve got my eye on a Big 12 WR that could be a fit at Texas should he enter. Will update in due time.

For me, Nick Marsh remains the top WR in the portal.

I am sure Oregon needs him. 😆

There is no spring window anymore, it's just the one portal window.

I know, but the SEC hasn't updated their rule that I know of (yet). I'd honestly like to know if they intend on keeping it to reduce intraconference tampering or doing away with it all together.

Any thoughts on Matai Tagoa'i for LB depth here? I thought j remembered his name from last recruiting class. @CJ Vogel

I think you would want a more experienced depth guy.

Your starters will be Lefeau and Smith.

Your backups will already be young (but talented) in Barnes, Atkinson, Okpola.

If you add a true older depth guy I’d be extremely happy.

Now if a true game wrecker comes available, you get him and worry about hurting other feelings later

I’d agree with @TexasFanatic

Dont think you need an all conference level guy at linebacker, but certainly not a developmental piece.

Kentucky LB Landyn Watson fits what I would target right now. Just someone who can give you 10-20 quality snaps and could step in as a starter should someone go down. I’m looking for a David Gbenda level role to be filled at LB out of the portal.

Josh Cameron or Amare Thomas make a lot of sense.  Cameron makes the most sense with how things are going at Baylor.

@CJ Vogel do you anticipate Spence playing LB at all next year? I know they like him at edge, but he was so good at Arkansas at LB. Seems like he could fill at least part of the void left by Hill.

I think he sticks at edge mostly. He’s better going forward.

Smith and Lefau provide a very sturdy base at the position. The ceiling comes with Barnes and Atkinson.
