Archmadness
They were playing the Arch interview at a California Pizza Kitchen in the Chicago burbs today. I think there's going to be plenty of media attention on Arch.

Worries about speed at receiver next year.
We need somebody to take attention away from Wingo. Moore isn't going to do that. Wingo struggled a bit when the threat of I. Bond was not on the field. For Wingo to be as effective as he can be, someone else has to warrant attention as well. Besides Wingo, there isn't' another WR on the roster that will demand anything other than JAG attention. We have to get someone in there who can be a real threat. We don't have that on the roster as of today.

Tashard choice leaving?
I had always heard that Choice was a guy looking to be a Head Coach. I don't know if an NFL gig as a position coach is the best pathway for that ambition. I could be wrong. Whether he really has the goods to be a head coach is an open question. I have my doubts. But that's been the talk as far as I can recall.

The Case AGAINST Prevent Defense
Case for prevent defense: 75 yard Screen pass against tOSU for a TD with :22 seconds left in the first half. I think there's a balance where you play base defense with no blitzes or overloads, but no extra cushions or dropbacks either.

Men's Basketball
This is the first year since 1990 that I haven't watched all the games. I just got tired of watching uninspiring performances. The talk of a tournament run seems bizarre to me. I have no idea how that could happen with only 5 or so conference wins, which is all I can see us getting. We had arguably the worst non-conference schedule in the country, and struggled to win those games.

Women’s basketball
Some real ass whoopins by this women’s team. Wow.

What was your favorite moment from this season?
Silas Bolden's recovery against the Sooners stands out most for me. Obviously a lot of choices, but that one sticks out to me more than any other.

RBs going into Columbus in August…
14 months post-surgery is the timeline for full recovery. I've done it twice myself. That puts us at November. I doubt he's ready to get significant time until then. If he does, the risk of reinjury skyrockets.

RBs going into Columbus in August…
It just isn't realistic to expect either Clark or Baxter to be ready to play in August. We will need more bodies for certain.

Emmanuel Pregnon visit
We could lose 6 guys, including all 5 starters. Having an experienced, starting-caliber player in the room would be good for the team.

Branch to Georgia
You're having a meltdown because I acknowledged that we hadn't signed any big-time players in the portal yet? Go touch some grass. Nothing I said was negative.

Branch to Georgia
Yeah, I saw that interview with Choice too. It made me pretty nervous, I won't lie. I've had 2 ACL reconstructions, both with D1 rehab facilities and staff. There's no way both of those guys will be 100% in August. The real recovery from that surgery is closer to 14 months, not 9. If I were coaching, I'd count them together as 0.5 or 1.0 for depth purposes. We need to add someone who can carry the load from the outset. The only caveat would be if the 2025 kids are ready to go day 1, which seems a bit optimistic. Even Bijan didn't play major snaps until midway through his Freshman year.

Branch to Georgia
I'm sure that's the thinking of most, but I think we need some oomph at WR and RB. We just don't know enough about the health or ability of the young guys we have in those crucial groups.

Branch to Georgia
That leaves Texas with a bit of an underwhelming haul so far in the portal. Hopefully we get some difference-maker additions at some point.

Former Texas player Zac Swanson motivated to play the Horns 👀
I'm sure his former teammates and coaches are shaking in their boots.
-
Heisman
Sure it will be Hunter. No real complaints. He dominates every time he's on the field on either side of the ball.

TexasOne fund raised 10.5M, spent 13.3M
Solid business plan.

Nick Brooks ... idiots in the industry have him a 3-star
He's a little raw, but give him 18 months with coaching and training and he'll be ready to contribute in 2026. Definitely has big potential.

Transfer Portal Entries Thread (1st Week of December)
Not sure taking a freshman who didn't play is worth the investment. To me it's either HS players or guys who have proven themselves in CFB.

Volleyball match 1st round NCAA
What is the expectation for this team? I haven't watched as much as last year, but they haven't seemed to be as strong. Swept by Stanford early and lost to both OU and A&M in conference. First year in the SEC finished 2nd. What were the expectations early vs now?

Zelus Hicks Key Note (Thursday 11:30 CST)
As the parent of a current HS sophomore, I find this to be really impressive.

SEC/ACC Basketball Challenge Dec 3-4
Come on Pope, gotta hit the free throws.

SEC/ACC Basketball Challenge Dec 3-4
What happened before the tv timeout? Step out of bounds? It seemed to stop mid-play.

Seems so simple.
