Mike Elko - ND game week press conference
I think A&M wins this one going away. It's at home, early in the year, and it will be hot. Neither team will light up the scoreboard, but Notre Dame could be held to single digits.

RB room
I think it’s more of a trial run for two-sport athletes. think Jonah Williams. I jokingly thought sanders could be the wildcat guy, but if he’s on the field in any capacity there’s probably some major issues.

Williams and Jackson
Ricky Williams played pro baseball and college football at Texas. I don't know many who have done that, either. Donovan McNabb played college basketball and football at Syracuse. Tony Gonzalez played both at Cal. It takes a pretty high-level player to get the coaching staffs in two sports to accept it.

Texas women’s Soccer
This is a team with some really talented seniors and a lot of overall experience. They should have a good year.

FSU goes down
No offense, but we have no idea what Kenny Baker will or won't do.

OTF at the Texas x Texas A&M Luncheon
That’s why I thought it was a strange sponsorship. Cotton as a brand name is already part of the Texas product landscape.

OTF at the Texas x Texas A&M Luncheon
I loved T+1. Hopefully we can get back to that.

OTF at the Texas x Texas A&M Luncheon
Press Release from Cotton Holdings So Cotton Holdings is the sponsor of the all-sports series (Lone Star Showdown) with a trophy based on points. Like the Director's Cup, but just for Texas & A&M. Doesn't look like there are other details about football at this point.

OTF at the Texas x Texas A&M Luncheon
Cotton Holdings as the game sponsor would be peculiar, considering the cotton bowl as the location for TX/OU.

Sorry for the dumb question
I think you can only edit for 10 minutes. It seems to drop that option after that window closes. My experience anyway. edit #1

On the co-press announcement with A&M…
Trev's gonna hit CDC with the pie-to-the-face trick and Ags will laugh themselves silly for the next decade about how they pwn Texas.

The word of the day is equity
So a guy who thought he should be allowed to officially represent UT felt snubbed when he was told there was a vetting process? I think there’s some Deion Sanders level self importance here. It sounds like Harris was right to distance the athletic department from him.

Bragging about convincing a recruit to decommit isn't the flex that you think it is.

Why do we have a conference championship game?
CCG should be changed to resemble the old Superstars competitions. Make it a fun spectacle but not too taxing physically. There's no sense in risking player health for what is now a meaningless game.

Cornerback News and Starting CBs?
Sark has mentioned several times this off-season that the featured player at a given position will depend on the tendencies and style of the opponent. I think Jahdae is going to play CB against run-oriented teams like Michigan. It adds an extra run defender (and Barron is one of the best) near the LOS. Barron, Guilbeau, and Muhammad are the top 3 CB's at defending the run. When we play Colorado State, it will probably be a different mix. That's what I'm expecting.

Texas mens basketball releases non-conference schedule
I'm excited to see a potential Syracuse-Texas matchup. UConn, NC State, & Ohio State are good games. UConn is the only home game that will put butts in the seats. Overall pretty below average for non-con. I think it's a transition year for entering the SEC to get a sense of how Texas fares in a new conference.

Sark and the running quarterback.
The thing is, we don't need a guy like Vince Young or Michael Vick at QB. Just someone with plus athleticism and the threat of a run will make huge changes to coverages. How many times have we gotten our asses kicked by a moderately athletic QB who runs a couple of times a game? Plenty. Sark doesn't have to run the QB. He just needs to play a QB who CAN run. I know that will get me thrown from the ivory tower around here, but statues aren't going to win in college football. QB's have to be able to run a little. It makes such a huge difference in 3rd down and red zone situations.

He apparently played QB in HS but is listed at RB. 6-2, 215. Maybe a Wildcat specialist? We don't really have anyone in that role now. Probably not, but it's fun idea.

Welcome to the league rookie
...and the pass was completed because the LB had his eyes on Worthy instead of on his assignment. Worthy is going to have to learn how to handle press coverage better, but they'll probably put him in motion a lot. Not too worried.

He's going to need a big season to hold off Vasek, Simmons, and Moore.
