This is objectively worse than Charlie Strong's OL situation. Sark & Flood have a chance to add more bodies than Strong could, but losing 7 guys in two weeks is a pretty damning indictment of something bad going on in that locker room. It's beyond roster management.

I think “strength of schedule” in the committee’s rubric was a euphemism for conference affiliation. They didn’t want to go down this road, but it was inevitable. And the consequences are seismic.

If there’s not a major overhaul, next year will be worse. We don’t have enough difference makers at the skill positions or secondary, and we need at least 3 OL additions. That doesn’t even address the other needs.

Building and sustaining are different modes of operation. Sark has to successfully transition to a sustaining model. He can't talk about building anymore because he's been here 5 years. He owns it now. He can either sustain what he has built or he cannot. We will see.

If A&M wins it all, and Texas doesn't make the playoffs, woof.

Ultimately, many college players will make more than their counterparts in the NFL. There's a shorter window where good players are more valuable to colleges than to pro teams.

There are so many questions on offense. We're not consistent and we have few explosive players. The OL is a mess. We could score 13 or 38 and neither would be surprising. Vandy 34-20 Texas

He's been great all year.

He was a willing blocker, but overpowered at times by smaller players. Really good hands and caught the ball away from his body. Good in contested catch situations. Returned kickoffs and showed good agility. But he was maybe 6’-2 1/2 and looked a bit thin. Not as big as his instagram profile of 6-5 220 His frustrations became a bit of a lightning rod and the crowd actually chanted “overrated” at him, which I thought was a bit much. He could be a good college player, but he didn’t seem like a game changer at the college level.

Brock had about 5 catches for 55 yards and a TD. Looked like a good player, but he’s not close to 6-5 and not a five star imo. He played mostly in-line but made his catches from the slot. Good hands and made two tough contested catches. But his team got spanked and he was pretty frustrated on the field. Not sure he’d be at the level our current TEs are right now.

We’re going to see Brock Williams play tonight. He’s a five star TE who plays for Libertyville (IL) HS. Will report back.

Last season, Arch played with confidence and was growing into a really good player. Not being the starter and not having all the outrageous expectations put him in a good place mentally. This year is not last year. Not sure why that is so difficult to understand.
