Confidence is the issue since everything is fine in practice. You start getting some praise and the crowd roars after a good run, confidence overall builds. Haynes is a bit better runner but not by a ton. Arch has a much stronger arm. He can be Haynes on steroids given some success.

I don’t know but I personally set too high of expectations for our OL it seems. I really wished/expected/hoped that we would be year in and out a top 10 to top 4 OL. Not individually as being drafted but as a cohesive effective unit.

The first throw did indeed look like a yip. No question, although even great baseball pitchers throw wild pitches from time to time. The thing is he did not continue that through the end, he got better. Overall I think it was more the respective game plans and preparation, which I said would be the key to winning. On the plus side this game provided a ton of film study for both Arch and Sark. Arch will have a great stat day Saturday and we will hear from outsiders things like sure he can do that against SJState but not the big boys. A can't win scenario as for that PR if he or anyone should concern themselves with it. It will be Florida and OU that will change minds (all except those with Arch Derangment Syndrome)

Road game, SEC. Tough game, expect it.

I had a different opinion before the game. I wasn’t sold on our defense against OhioState. Had hoped we could hold them to 420 yards or so. I also did not see any ability for us to run the ball. I was extremely pleased with the D and our run game. Two heavyweights being played on the road, sure would have wanted to win but damn, we basically made mistakes that kept us from winning. These can be fixed .

Is there a recruiting rank for classes that actually made it to campus? Just curious as to where this group ranks.

Thing about it, sometimes the highlights are great but the handpicked best plays of someone’s career. Geez, Earl was a highlight damn near ever time he was handed the ball. One on one with Earl, RIP.

I love Texas baseball but for a person like myself it is harder to keep up with the what we got, how good are they stuff until the season gets underway. Great to see someone who knows thinks we are top 5.

Can’t blame aggie or anyone for playing within the new rules. One thing Coach White said the other day that I took note of. He said we don’t want to bring in players and recruit over ones we have. Benefit of a doubt to a man who just won a title but I personally don’t mind bringing in players if they improve the team. Maybe he didn’t mean that.

We need Kavan to keep doing what she has been doing. If it is 0-0 after 4 innings I love our chances.

We know there is less stress pitching softball but is there a fatigue level? I am assuming Canady pitched 3 games in a row quite often this season but not sure . Thinking that the advantage for us is we have talented hitters who have seen her in many at bats now. Hoping Kavan spins a shutout tomorrow . Won’t see the game going to my HS reunion. 55th my friends.
