Other College Games Thread: Week 6
One undefeated team in the SEC - Texas. Wow

Jahkeem Stewart -> Texas
Wasn't that long ago that we got the # 1 offensive player in Louisiana and the # 1 defensive player in Louisiana - in the same class 🙂 It's rare but it can happen

Other College Games Thread: Week 6
Vandy has more total yards, more first downs, double the time of possession deep in the 4th quarter - I know the two turnovers made a big difference but Vandy is still playing them pretty even otherwise. A shocker for sure.

Bulletin Board Aggies feeling a bit chesty after their beat down of # 9 Missouri. In response to the question "We beat #9…where do we move up?" this was my favorite response

That crash you heard is the "Eli Drinkwitz to Florida" bandwagon veering into a wall.

The Top Jobs In College Football (Texas No. 2)
I just read the article and was wondering "who the hell was the ONE coach who voted the Aggies job # 1?" Was that YOU Tuco Ramirez? “Haven’t cashed in yet but it’s a gold mine,” a Power 4 coordinator said. “Best facilities. Most money. Most resources. NIL elite. Football state. One of the best followings. No limitations. Most don’t agree (but) just my opinion.”

The Top Jobs In College Football (Texas No. 2)
When I saw the headline, with Texas # 2, I tried to guess who might be # 1 and I also landed on tOSU ... I could see picking them over Georgia mainly because of the lack of competition in their conference. But yeah, Georgia has it rolling right now too 🙂

College Football Imperialism Map: Week 5
Thanks Adam - I had no idea how we had 'territory' in central California until I read "We accumulated land from ... Michigan (their home territory and the home territory of Fresno St. - Michigan's first win)"

Another Merry Flipmas from FSU?
Kinda hoping for a Kelshaun flip from A&M and a Pettijohn flip from tOSU and a CB flip from somewhere ...

Kelvin Banks Named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week
Yeah, as soon as I read this I knew it was him, thanks. Too lazy to look it up and the only D guys from Michigan I knew were Grant and Graham (because we fans hoped one might portal to Texas) and CB Will Johnson.

Kelvin Banks Named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week
"0 QB hits, 0 sacks, 1 QB pressure" - I watched part of the USC - Michigan game and Michigan's right DE was wreaking havoc on practically every passing down, pressuring the QB or disrupting the play. I think this was the guy Gerry mentioned as being a possible early NFL draft candidate. I thought "wow, glad he had a bad game against us, I can't remember anyone from that side of the line making a play." Then it dawned on me - 'oh, he would have been facing Kelvin Banks - that explains why he was basically erased and I never noticed him' 🙂 What a player, so glad Kelvin signed with us instead of Oklahoma State oops Oregon (yep, Texas was his third 'commitment')

OU Hate Week Thread
Ant Hill is "the worst player in their front 7"? WTF! Someone show this to Anthony every day until he's locked and loaded for the big game.

Steve Sarkisian Post Game Press Conference (Miss State)
Taafe is dating Sabrina Carpenter now?

Don't forget Micah Hudson! What a WR class! (Sarkasm, before anyone gets riled)

Other College Games Thread: Week 5
Currently losing 21-10 in the fourth quarter. Outrushed (so far) by Auburn, outpassed 256 - 96 yards thus far ...

Other College Games Thread: Week 5
Now if A&M loses to Arkansas, Notre Dame loses to Louisville and Oklahoma loses to Auburn - and Texas covers the spread - it will be a very very satisfying day.

Bear is Hibernating
I remember we wanted to sign him out of the portal SO BADLY last spring. As St. Nick said "You gotta pay the right players or you're sht outta luck".

Highest Ranked Games in DKR History
LOL - I'm so old (as are a handful of others here) that I remember the 1969 "Game of the Century". # 1 Texas vs # 2 Arkansas, President Nixon in the stands, Texas rallied from a 14-0 deficit to win late 15-14, keyed by a fourth down 44 yard pass (the forward pass had recently been invented). I wasn't even a student at Texas then (I came 4 years later for grad school) but I still remember that game. According to Wikipedia (so who knows how accurate) "With a Nielsen rating of 52.1 (a 74 share), this was and remains as of 2023, the highest TV rating in American football history, college or professional."

ESPN Bowl Projections: Texas No. 1 Playoff Seed & Will Make National Championship
And as everyone knows ESPN predictions are never wrong, so can we just put the trophy on display now?

Fight on Texas Sideline?
Hmm ... I got the '2 games' from the official Texas Sports website.

Fight on Texas Sideline?
Mitchell has only appeared in two of the first four games, so he must be frustrated at not getting in even during 40 point blowouts. Hopefully he gets it together, gets in game shape and starts getting reps, but yeah, if he's arguing with coaches or teammates it's hard to see him here long term.

Bijan Mustardson the actor?
Thanks for posting the ESPN link, cool story. I like seeing the Arizona guys doing well with their UT connections (so many have bombed at Texas the past decade - Connor Brewer, Jake Smith, Brayden Liebrock, Zach Swanson). The way I remember the Bijan - Matthew origin story McConaughey introduced himself to Bijan (I think during a recruiting trip, or maybe once he arrived as a frosh?) and Bijan said later he had no idea who he was. "I never watched any of his movies, he was just some random dude to me." Glad to see the bromance is paying off now.

Texas vs ULM Game Thread
(Quoting myself) - Boom, the first three runs after halftime Blue goes for 38 yards. I'm glad the coaches take time to read these message boards at the half and figure out where the problems are (lol).
