Or recovered one of the three fumbles that bounced their way ... or sniffed out the fake punt ... or made another FG ... or gotten a block on Jahdae's interception ... or not dropped so many passes ... Third time is the charm. Hopefully we face them again.

The gym I go to is 1.5 miles from the Tempe city line (Tempe is the home of ASU) and a lot of peeps at the gym wear Sun Devil jerseys. If we win and face them I'm gonna wear my TEXAS sleeveless shirts to the gym every day that week, no matter how many dirty looks I get 🙂 I know there are a couple of other UT guys at the gym, including the president of the Phoenix Texas Exes Club, but we will be outnumbered 50-1. Can't wait to hear videos similar to Zac's from Xavion Alford, Jake Smith (a guy I thought would star at Texas), Troy Omeire, J'Mond Tapp, Prince Dorbah and maybe even Bryan Carrington (who I liked when he was at Texas). Did I miss anyone else? The Sun Devils had a great season but it's about to get real fellas.

This is funny ... for a guy north of 360 lbs Keondre is surprisingly fast ... watch him stiff arm a 6'6" 310 lb OG at the 7 sec mark 🙂

Good question ... I saw his name in a mock draft recently, I think it was rounds 1-3 and he was tabbed either 2nd or 3rd round, so why play another year in college? Unless he thinks he can pull a lot more NIL$ than NFL$ ... (just checked two sites, one has him CB5 in the draft, 2nd round, the other has him going in round 3)

And we would need at least 125 scholarships to add all the players the 'people in this thread' deem scholly worthy ...

Guessing that Texas players entering the portal are off the team right away, not practicing for the bowl games? That would seem to be the cleanest, probably best way to deal with it but the Arizona State coach, Kenny Dillingham, has a different approach. He's allowing players to announce now so they don't miss out on the first window, but stick around thru the playoff run to remain part of the team. Maybe they lack quality depth and need practice players? Not sure why he's doing it that way. What happens when a current player in the portal wants to skip practice and take a recruiting trip to an interested school? Anyway, a different approach for sure ... he sounds like a player's coach.

Thanks CJ ... I was looking at the ESPN stats for ASU and they didn't show Tapp with any stats in 2024 (tackles etc) so I just assumed he didn't play at all.

Can't find ANY stats for J'Mond at ASU ... anyone know if he was injured or just couldn't get playing time in 2024? A big get for us back in the day ...

Smoke Bouie listed as a Georgia transfer but he didn't even make it thru spring ball before getting arrested and dropped from the program. Five DL listed with 5* ranking out of high school ... pretty incredible.

Mitch Trubisky went # 2 overall and the Bears traded three picks to move up to get him. Mahomes went 10th overall in the same draft, so even the pros, with all their scouts and interviews and pre-draft testing, can't pick 'em a lot of the time. I think roughly half the QBs taken in the first round don't offered a 2nd contract.
