That 2nd down goal line call
If you are referring to Dan Orlovsky’s opinion, you are wrong. Sark explained in the postgame press conference that the staff decided during prep that if in that situation, they wanted to try to go wide. Did it work? No, but the fact it didn’t work does not make it a bad call. But to go back to your OP about that play being on the Mt. Rushmore of dump play calls, I believe you are also wrong. Sark is almost unanimously considered one of the best play schemers and callers in college football. Sometimes the bad guys just make good plays and calling out Sark for one call is just wrong IMO.

Player superlatives (feel free to add)
Let’s face it, 40, 50 or more players contributed to the success of this year’s team. From Banks (the best lineman in college football) playing every snap in the OSU game to Vasek’s 6 plays, everyone on the field deserves some recognition. A book could be written about the highs and lows, the personalities, and the character of this team. One final thought. I think special mention should go to Quinn who overcame injuries to led us to back to back semi-final games. All the while suffering the hateful and vile comments from the so-called fans on message boards (fortunately not so much on OTF) and social media. Just today, two days after the game, I saw FB posts calling Quinn a choke artist or celebrating him leaving the program. JMO.

Steve Sarkisian Postgame Press Conference (Cotton Bowl)
I disagree. While the play turned put to be a disaster it is useless to nitpick one single play. If you're going to do that then go and use Bond’s drop or Helms losing the ball on the way down. Without Sark we are not in the playoff this year or last year.

Worth Your Time
Great rewatch.

Out coached
There is no love fest. Quinn has been criticized and attacked as much as any player in recent history in the 40 Acres. So, you are wrong and sit back and enjoy the win and post less.

Out coached
I understand people’s frustration with Quinn. However, we do not win without Quinn. For all the criticism heaped upon him we all need to heap equal amounts or more for how he led the team twice into FG range in the last two minutes. And then in the overtimes he throws two TDs. So stop your whining about Quinn and enjoy the victory.

2024 Joe Moore Award Finalists Announced...
If we would have played the entire season the way we played the last few games, we would be the unquestionable winner.

Transfer Portal Entries Thread (1st Week of December)
IMO, Hall and the Bama LB (whose name escapes me) were reaches and the staff knew it but were desperate to get talent in the roster. Today, we are not as desperate and can afford to be a bit more picky in the Portal.

Wednesday AM Team Notes (9:40 am)
I think he was referring to when we played Florida.

Justus Terry
Let us say you are correct and we do not land him. I imagine the effort we put into recruiting him will be remembered. IF he decides to portal out of his school, our efforts will be remembered.

I got the email and text as well. Is it legit?

Sark the QB whisperer
I think we all understand that Quinn was overrated coming out of HS. This, I believe, is typical of system QBs. Fans put way too much emphasis on star ratings and are often disappointed when that player does not live up to the unreal expectations placed upon a 17-18 year old kid.

Texas women win SEC soccer Championship
I am not much of a soccer fan but I did watch about the last 15 minutes or so and it was glorious. Congrats to the players and coaches and thanks for being our first SEC Champion.

I think the OP is very representative of many fans. They have a fair grasp of the game but are not fully cognizant of all the games within the game. Now some of what she said is true but our team will only go as far as Quinn takes us this year. We need to cut down on the penalties (like the targeting call late in the game) and clean up the line play. The Oline has been far more of a disappointment to me than any other area of the team.

Immediate Reactions | Texas vs. Vanderbilt
There have been numerous comments, on the OTF Postgame show and other sites, complaining about Sark’s play calling in the 2nd half. My only complaint was the second and goal late in the game. Sark threw it and it was incomplete. I would have loved to see a run which would have taken the clock down to the 2 minute warning or forced Vandy to call a time out. Other than that I thought it was well called. It was the penalties which brought back several long gains and a INT for TD which destroyed any momentum we were starting.

Coffee and Football: Thursday 10/17 — Bob Shipley Joins Us All Show!
Great show, as expected. However, it is difficult to take anyone seriously (@BrooksAustinBA) when they have a giant fathead/picture/poster of Johnny Manziel on their wall. 😂

Texas Offers 2026 Florida WR
Go get him. Thanks, I didn’t catch that.

You agreed to pay your qb $60 million per year
While the OP’s comments are not wrong, I notice he did not come back and comment on Dak leading the game winning drive late in the game. While Dak is far from perfect, everybody whining about him being here and how much he makes is irrelevant. If you cannot cheer for him or cheer for the Cowboys because of Jones, then go find another team. JMO.

Texas Offers 2026 Florida WR
That first highlight on this year’s Hudl tape was all I need to see. Fo get him.

Hi
When Gerry posts a “hi”, it means there has been a silent commit. Now whether that silent makes it public or not is not always known. About 75-80 of “Hi’s” actually make their commitment public. And it is obviously a post which generates a great deal of comedic content (well people try to be funny but rarely achieve it).
