Robert Gilbert

I am a huge Tony Romo fan and I thought he was underrated by many and too maligned by most. I am sure the Cowboy haters are cheering this but they are just sad little people, IMO.

I found this on YouTube. It is a shortened version of the 1996 game between BYU and A&M. Sark throws 6 TDs and BYU wins.

I lost interest in him long ago.

Tom Landry was a football genius. He incorporated the shotgun formation into every down usage (the shotgun was probably created by a CFL coach named Frank Ivy but modernized and first used by 49’ers coach Red Hickey in the early 1960s). His defensive innovation, the 4-3 defense is still used by pretty much every team in America. More importantly, his usage of 4 DL and 7 DBs led to what is often referred to as simulated pressure today. The attached video illustrates that concept.

I want to thank the OP for the info. This is the first I had heard this news. For those who want only UT news I say this…you can be annoyed at atm or hate them (as all sane people do) as much as you like but keeping informed of what our long time foe does is important. We need info to stay ahead of an ever growing crowd that hates us and celebrates every loss and setback.

There is no reason for this. A Longhorn, who is living the dream that 98% plus of us will never live, has decided to return to help our beloved Horns reach the ultimate goal. Please cheer for him and keep the negativity out of this.

Thank you.

Blake, I have loved this daily thread. Your work on this has been extraordinary. I have been copying and saving each day’s picture but I cannot find #s 85 and 92. Was there not one done for those days or did I just not see them? Thanks and keep up the great work.

I think most of us spent time, in some cases decades, on other sites. OB and IT were two sites I spent a great deal of time on and OTF is far and away the best site. OTF’s YouTube channel delivers more up to date info than the others combined with passion, focus, and professionalism.

Not a particular song or group but instead a YouTube channel that features Yacht Rock DJ’ed by Z-Bear.

My mistake, I meant to put sprint relay.

I was at the State Track Meet in 1976, watching future UT pole vaulter Kieth Sanders, and saw Lam Jones win three first places including a miraculous come from behind victory in the mile relay. I saw him win a Gold Medal at the Olympics later that summer. Till one of the aforementioned athletes makes an Olympic team and wins a gold Medal, in a sprint, I will go with Lam Jones as being the fastest.

Roosevelt Leaks

Chokes me up every time I see one of these videos. Congrats to him.

Selfishly, I am not enjoying the current state of college athletics. While I think that the players deserve to be paid for their efforts, the resulting disarray every off season takes away from the games I grew up watching. For example, is a billionaire from some unnamed second rate school gonna lure our best player away? Again this is selfish on my part (and I am sure many, many others) but I miss not having to learn 50% of the names of our new players every season.

Chuck Norris jokes have become a stable across the world. Here are a few.

I really enjoyed his movies. They were usually simple movies with lots of action, some humor, and the good guys won. There will never be another like him again.

Congrats to the young man and his family. His life has taken a dramatic turn upward by accepting a scholarship at UT. However, it is disappointing to see so many posters making fun of this news. I understand the bulk of you think you are being clever, funny, or edgy but you all have fallen far short of your mark. Now many of you will post you were just kidding or I have no sense of humor. Maybe, but this is a life changing decision for these young men and they should be given a moment to revel in that moment without the digs at our staff.

That is not entirely true. UT did look at a few OL prospects but they didn’t work out for whatever reason.

That is the most sensible thing you have said. We all agree with that statement. But making ridiculous comments about cutting Mosley and Livingstone or we have to get Coleman so aggy doesn’t get him ruins any credibility.

Your comments are just ridiculous. You either know little about football or you don’t understand Sark.

OTF is the best UT YouTube site. Everybody on the staff does fantastic work.

Bobby mentioned this morning he took less money last season as well. Like many NFL QBs, he will take less to insure higher quality players around him.

This was discussed this morning. I found it on YouTube. https://youtu.be/1cTdWsaki-M?si=G3uxZXfFQm8PQEtC

I saw every one of his games this season and he is a stud. He is undersized but very fast with good hands.
