How are the DT's that transferred or got out of NIL because of that doing?

There’s no way we would go with a 6th DL in the portal…right?

Can't with him.

No - you can’t transfer SEC to SEC this window

Did anyone else see Johntay Cook is visiting Arkansas? I'm torn between wishing him the best and hoping he just wastes a bunch of the Walton's money.

Always wish a young man success on and off the field. There is more in life than the game of football!

An undergraduate football player may transfer in the Spring portal.  He just cannot play that fall.

If the player can’t play immediately why would a school take him as a transfer.

Because that player can play in future years? His first year at the new SEC institution would be merely a red shirt year, provided he had not used it yet.

Who is our punter?

We can't say the punter's name.  He's simply "the punter".

Don't really care, but just out of curiosity, since the last team he played on was Texas, wouldn't the SEC rule still apply? Otherwise its a loophole any player could use - bounce to Big12 or ACC then bounce again back into SEC?

No because he enrolled at Washington. It doesn’t matter if he played is my understanding.

Teams take portal players to fill holes immediately.

Enrolled and withdrew, but even if enrolled, like I said, seems like an easy loophole to exploit if allowed...

I’m pretty sure Cook was kicked out of Texas in the fall semester, and entered the Winter portal to transfer to Washington.  He was subsequently kicked out of the UW program,  and has now entered the Spring portal.

The SEC rule applies to Spring portal entrants being prohibited from playing with another SEC school the following fall.  It doesn’t apply to those who left their school in the Winter portal, for example Brad Spence from Arkansas to Texas.

That is my understanding anyway.

Or why would he transfer just to sit. Doesn't make sense for either side
