There’s always talk in basketball about passing up a good shot for a better shot.  Vic’s offense a lot of the time is “pass up a good shot for a crazy contested, way worse shot at a closer range”

It was great to see the program under Vic Schaefer get over the hump and into the Final Four. Here's to a reload and making another run at the big prize next season.

Rory Harmon needs to stop shooting.   She’s way off tonight/.  Jordan Lee and Maddie Booker need to get hot in 4th just to keep it close.   Frustrating third quarter.

Not to make excuses, but to be fair to Vic, two of his planned scoring threats for this year both went down with season ending injuries.

A Moore two years in a row didn’t play the post season.

We’ve got a good team, but we’ve got to alot better if we want to win one.  Tonight shows you where you want to be.

Wish the Monterrey gal wanted to associate herself with the home state flagship instead of mobilehoma.

Defense by itself doesn't win championships, and the theme across sports right now seems to be that offense does. Explosives in football. HRs in baseball. 3s in basketball.

FINAL: South Carolina 74, Texas 57

The Longhorns end the 2024-25 season with a 35-4 record.

Having 3 out of 4 losses to the same team stings. Gotta knock them off of the hill. Next up OU softball, then Georgia football.

(I don't count Tennessee baseball in that dynasty tier but they also look to be firmly planted)

One of the worst officiating game I’ve seen in a while. Cahill this one up and move onto next season.

Coach Vic and these players gave us some great games this year. Hope we can get to next step---but grateful to this coach and these players

They have relied on Booker to do most of the scoring.  When she got in foul trouble it was going to get bad.  Most teams have doubled and triple team the post when the ball comes in there and they throw up a weak shot or turn it over.  Teams didn’t have to worry about Texas shooting 3 pointers that much.  Lee looks like she’ll be able to score.  Vic needs to get some more if they come up in the portal.  Great season but need to get better to reach the top.

Booker getting into foul trouble altered everything. Her rhythm was gone after that and our team defense was a mess having to try to protect her from getting her 4th foul. That game look nothing like the basketball Texas plays particularly on the defensive side. SC was getting open looks everywhere. The refs called why more bump fouls on us than on SC. SC were manhandling Oldacre and grabbing Madi a lot on the screens with no calls.

Overall, it was crazy obvious today how much more talented and deep SC is than we are. We need more talented combo players. Missing out on Chavez really hurts. Crump has potential but still needs development particularly defensively.

Lee was great today though. You can see a possible star there when she has that green light of confidence and looking for her shot. Her confidence dropped later in the game but when she's confident, she gets buckets. Preston needs a better midrange shot given how they play back on her. She'll figure out how where to get shots in the pace of the game. I really think Vic needs to push tempo with Preston at the point though. It's a waste of her speed running half court all day when she's faster than everyone on the court. We could use a few more easy buckets too. Watching Texas run the break sometimes is frustrating. They have the worst spacing when it comes to the break. PG not running middle and 2 bigs running down the middle instead.  We blew a 3 on1 early in this game because of spacing and it happens at least once a game. You can tell they don't practice it as much as they probably should.

Just like the men, we need more skilled bigs. Taylor and Oldacre got the job done against all the lesser teams but got manhandled every time we played SC bigs. We don't need much better but we do need more skilled and athletic bigs like you saw from Edwards, Dauda, and Kitt. We only had 3 that could play legit PF/C.

All in all, the future is bright and Vic maxed out this team so hard to complain about much but just wished we would have looked like ourselves a bit more of the game today. Pick up a could nice bigs and a 3 pt shooter in the portal and we're good.

Great season ladies!

We were dominating them, they saddled Maddie with 3 in the first - something that's never happened in her career - game changed.  Kudos to SCe, but no one knows how it goes if they don't pull that BS.

The Vols did no-hit and run rule the Aggies tonight, so there's that.

Not having A Moore hurt, she’s an inside presence.  Last two years season ending injuries, dunno if her career is done for at this point.
