Second time for Mukuba – 4.46

Two really solid times for Mukuba.

I’d wager again that the official comes back slightly under although he didn’t look as smooth.

Hoping Bond and Blue can make a splash in the 40 tomorrow 📈 want the Longhorns to win the combine again like last year 😅

I missed this earlier, but EDGE Barryn Sorrell put up 28 reps on the bench, tied for third most so far at the Combine.

Barryn is killing it.  Love to see he is maximizing results at the Combine.  Awesome!!!!  Hook em!

Awesome.  Our guys came ready to show out.  Love it.  Can't wait to see what Bond and Blue put up tomorrow in the 40.

In combine summary from a rival site (sorry, I lost the link) it was reported that CJ Vogel was putting up impressively low shuttle times as he scuttled from event to event trying to cover the multitude of Longhorn participants; perhaps setting a new combine record of 4.11 sec for 'fastest X-ing time' for his relentless rapid fire tweets; and setting a new arm thrust record to get called on for his probing questions of giddy recruits.

CJ Vogel - Longhorn media combine legend!  We appreciate all you do for us buddy!

That’s awesome. Appreciate you sharing that !

I have been following the draft for about 27 years now, and still can't figure out why the NFL doesn't modify some of these tests. For example, there is literally zero objective measurement that correlates to BGO. Sure, the 10yd split can predict a guy's ability to accelerate once he decides to go, but it completely whiffs on reaction time, and that's half the battle. Start the 40 by signal instead of self-start, and you'd probably get a much clearer idea of how quickly a guy can register the snap and turn that into action.

Thats what other drills are for.

They just said Helm’s second 40 was much better. Did anyone see that time?

4.84 I believe.

He will definitely want to run again at the pro day

Quinn Ewers throws tomorrow. As I say my prayers tonight, I will pray 🙏 for his God given talents to shine through. Quinn is a Christian I believe he would appreciate all of our prayers.

Two really solid times for Mukuba.

Mukuba posted the 5th fastest 40 for safeties - our old OU friend Billy Bowman was 4th (4.42) and a 6'3" 220 lb dude from South Carolina was 2nd fastest at 4.38 while posting a 43" vertical leap to 'win' the safety underwear Olympics.

Barron ran the 6th fastest 40 for corners at 4.39 - only one player broke 4.30.
