Portaltails & Dreams
That's a lot of maybes for a guy almost no one here had even heard of before his transfer was announced.

Portaltails & Dreams
Straw man. I didn't say that. But the sunshine-pumping doesn't align with the fact that he wasn't even considered among the top 12 tackles in the ACC.

Portaltails & Dreams
6 offensive tackles were named to the ACC's 1st, 2nd, or 3rd team all-conference. 6 more were named as honorable mentions, including one from Wake Forest. None of them was named Melvin Siani. I'd like to buy into the optimism, but it really seems like he's being oversold to OTF subbers.

June 13-15 Weekend Official Visit Thread
Still, it's life-changing money. These kids all think they're bound for the league, but the lucky ones will have adults explaining to them how even a cool million invested now can make a meaningful impact over time.

Toa Katoa top 3
Seems like Texas usually looks for bargain value in OL, especially IOL, to save cash for other positions. Is that why they wanted Katoa?

2025 NFL Combine Live Thread (UPDATE: Thursday 10:00 a.m.)
Bond came out of his starting stance way too tall. I've been skeptical of OTF's claims about his speed all season, but if he fixes his technique, he could potentially even break 4.30.

It's baffling that anyone actually takes the team's posted sizes as accurate.

You mean field drills? Those entirely rely on eyeballing it, which isn't reliable.

2025 NFL Combine Live Thread (UPDATE: Thursday 10:00 a.m.)
I have been following the draft for about 27 years now, and still can't figure out why the NFL doesn't modify some of these tests. For example, there is literally zero objective measurement that correlates to BGO. Sure, the 10yd split can predict a guy's ability to accelerate once he decides to go, but it completely whiffs on reaction time, and that's half the battle. Start the 40 by signal instead of self-start, and you'd probably get a much clearer idea of how quickly a guy can register the snap and turn that into action.

Friday Happy Hour: Does Texas need to add a transfer TE?
If Klare would've been redundant, it seems strange that they even bothered to look at him, especially since Niblack barely saw the field.

Friday Round Up | RB Coach Candidates + Recovery News (Friday AM)
My armchair opinion is that they need to plan as though Baxter and Clark won't be effective contributors in 2025, and look at anything more from them as found money. Honestly, they're replacing 4/5 of the OL, their top blocking TE, and a 1000-total-yards, 14-TD RB, so it should be no surprise if they're unable to move the ball against stout defenses next season. Considering they're also losing their QB and top three receiving targets, they may not be able to loosen up quality defenses either, so the defense might have to carry the schedule.

Trey Owens: Culture Guy
Damn, dude. That's just not true. There were plenty of people clamoring for Arch. They weren't as prominent as they are now, but the comments were certainly present on OTF, BON, etc.
