Zelus Hicks Key Note

Not only did Texas 4-star++ signee Zelus Hicks (Carrollton, Ga./High) reclassify from 2026 to 2025. But he's also been taking AP classes throughout high school and has the credits to graduate high school this month. 

Hicks, 6-2, 185-pounds, will be moving to Austin January 13 and go through spring practice. 

 

 

Wow! What great effort to not only reclassify, but to graduate even earlier than expected to move in early for spring. 

As the parent of a current HS sophomore, I find this to be really impressive.

Not sure what it's like at other programs, but I absolutely love how many early enrollees we are getting under Sark. It's a HUGE advantage. 

 

That means 20 of the 24 signees will be early enrollees from the 2025 class.

Wow! THat's incredibly impressive. Good luck to the young man not only for his football but also his academic career. I get the feeling he's well prepared to work as hard as he can.

Love the motivation! I can see him being a film room junkie.

I think that tells you that the kid is dedicated and hungry. Awesome news.

Enrolling early after reclassifying shows this kid’s priorities are in order and he’s a strong worker.

No on Haywood. 

Doubtful on Petty ... but not totally out of the question. More likely Texas moves to 2026 because it's really good in-state.
