Right around when I started. At one point I had ten Canseco Rookie cards. Mattingly, Clemons, Srawberry, Gooden, etc had no clue anyone was juicing. I refocused on Boggs, Ripken, Sandberg, Henderson and Gwynn. Gwynn is one of the greatest players to ever play and his cards are nowhere near what they should be worth. 

I’ve been holding onto a Cedric Benson 2001 signed novelty - it’s on the Build-a-Bear pajamas of the BaB my mother had made me before a long trip back in 2001. She was and is a diehard Longhorn and received her masters at UT Austin which is what prompted me to ask to have the keepsake she gave me autographed. (As a 10 year old I thought she’d appreciate a longhorn’s autograph). Some of the UT football players from that season visited my middle school - Leander Middle School - I can’t remember why they were there, but I do remember them having an autograph table in our cafeteria. I’ve kept it in a box for 25 years and I’d like for it to maybe go to someone who can actually appreciate such a unique (and super random) artifact. I can’t seem to upload a photo but am happy to provide one!

Marquise Goodwin and Kenny Vaccaro are also in the set, but I wanted to put together the Okafor run. I’ll be getting it framed and hung up in the background for my OTF video work.

There are a couple of sets with Texas nameplates, but they're low numbered and rarely pop up for sale.

Brian Orakpo has one and Limas Sweed has one.

Alexis Ohanian, Serena Williams' husband and the founder of Reddit, was part of a group that just bought Onit. It'll be interesting to see what they do with college sports cards, especially because they want to promote Olympic sports in markets where they're popular.

Has anyone gone to any good card shows lately? It seems like the ones in the Austin area of late have been mostly TCG, not so much for the sports card crowd.

I saw that & hope they fix the distribution problem.  I’ve had a “Timeless” subscription since day 1 & it is absolutely awful. I never get any hits but worse is there are always duplicates & triplets in every box of 5 packs. Plus the inserts always are dupes. Last month I got 3 inserts of the same Parker Livingstone card plus another was Trey Wisner 🤦🏽

I do like how you can now pick your sport. Just got my first softball box & that was a fun open. 

I have a notebook full of 1970's pro football players that I have had since I was 15. I am now 68. I have no idea of the value of them. I know I have a Sonny Jurgensen card among them. Who knows. I prefer my vinyl record collection. I have all the great albums that everyone loves.
