Big 10 on CBS doesn’t sound right. 

I miss watching College GameDay without some wannabe pro wrestler taking off his shirt.

SEC on CBS was never the same after Verne Lundquist retired, despite Brad Nessler being a good announcer.  SEC on CBS peaked for me when it was Verne Lundquist and Todd Blackledge.  Verne was still in his prime and Todd was so much better than Gary at breaking down the game.  Verne’s last 5 or 6 years were rough to listen to as he had lost his fastball at that point.

I for one do the afternoon game on CBS with Vern just hit different

Agree! They had the best HD too so it was the best games and the best picture/sound.

I'm so old... when I was a little kid, I remember Verne Lundquist was the sports director for WFAA-TV Ch 8 ABC in Dallas.

SEC was better on CBS before ESPN got it and applied the Disney treatment.

I always felt like CBS did the best job of capturing the crowd and atmosphere in their production. I think a some of the SEC hype and mystique came from that. Not sure why it is so hard for ESPN to do the same.

I agree with this. Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson epitomized SEC ball for me, even with all the Urban/Saban butt kissing

There's something about exclusivity. Those 2:30 SEC games on CBS were always special.

I’ve boycotted gameday since that guy came on.  To each their own I detest him.  He’s the Luke Bryan equivalent for college football for me.
