  1. Good point....Kevan and Katie will absolutely thrive in AUSL, no question. But the league isn’t built to match what top players can pull in NIL right now. College is where the real money window is, so most of these elite kids are smart to ride out all five years, stack NIL, then jump to AUSL when it’s about career and exposure instead of the paycheck
  2. Good Luck Estelle https://t.co/JUwjHzMyMg
  3. Happy 4th, boys/girls Hope your grills are hot, your beers are cold, and your takes are at least slightly less embarrassing than usual today. God bless America and God bless the Longhorns.
  4. Don't know if permissable to post this(Horns247 Flagship Podcast) here...if not delete it. But great interview with Mike White. Here's the article as well as the video. https://247sports.com/college/texas/longformarticle/two-time-defending-national-champion-texas-softball-coach-mike-white-joins-the-horns247-flagship-podcast-288071437/#2838589 The idea of the opportunity to get two more seasons from star seniors Katie Stewart, the 2026 SEC Player of the Year; Teagan, center fielder Kayden Henry; infielder Viviana Martinez; as well as Arizona State senior catcher transfer Samantha Swan and Florida State senior infielder transfer Isa Torres caught my eye.
  5. Studdard was out there treating defensive tackles like they personally insulted his mother. 😀
  6. Didn't Blake Brockermeyer wear #64 early in his career?
  7. lol, Studdard. Obviously. The guy played guard like he was trying to get flagged for targeting. Hampton was a perfectly respectable “he exists” roster entry, but Studdard was out there committing weekly felonies in broad daylight and getting praised for it on ESPN
  8. good match? NOT
  9. LOL, me too
  10. Cause we are not Mexico, lol If water bottles overturned red cards, Mexico would be undefeated since 1994
  11. Need to find a replacement for Pepi - USA gets the win, but we’ve got to stop pretending Pepi is the answer at striker. He’s a “right place, right time” guy who vanishes the second the match gets physical or requires someone to actually create something. He's not fooling anybody at the international level.
  12. Mark this date/time on your Calendar Texas showing out at the Alliance All‑Star Game again. Three Horns on the roster, Kayden Henry running the American squad, Ella McDowell leading the National team… that’s not an All‑Star Game, that’s a burnt‑orange takeover. The Henry/Abdullah/Doty segment in the reveal show was outstanding. Kayden’s personality jumps off the screen, Abdullah carries herself like she’s already in the middle of the Texas lineup, and Doty looks media‑ready from day one. Softball America hyping our girls is just bonus points. Aubrey Portie wasn’t a Texas volleyball commit. She played volleyball earlier in her athletic path, but she’s a Texas softball commit, period. Still impressive as hell that she switched her focus, climbed fast, and earned an Alliance All‑Star spot. July 19. ESPN+. 6 p.m. ET. Texas fans might as well treat it like a spring game - half the broadcast is basically ours.
  13. This was a red card?????
  14. thks...just got home....need to turn the game on....who scored our goal?
  15. what the score here?
  16. oops.....wtf 😀 Lmao yeah that one’s on me - apparently my brain decided to run an RPO and kept the football tab open while the thread was clearly in softball mode. Been hydrating aggressively all day… just not with water.
  17. I’ve really come around on softball too ---the pace and the constant pressure make it easy to stay locked in. The way the roster sticks together for years also makes it a lot easier to follow the team and actually feel connected to the players. Baseball just doesn’t hit the same for me. The games drag, the rhythm is slower, and it’s harder to stay engaged inning to inning. I still support the team, but the product doesn’t grab me the way softball does. The energy, the urgency, the way one mistake can flip everything - that’s what keeps me hooked.
  18. I never even thought about that… great point. And honestly, Texas doesn’t really have that problem. Our class is elite, our evaluations are stable, and we’re not scrambling to protect a bunch of short‑term portal rentals. Sark and Harris built the roster with 5‑for‑5 in mind, so there’s no need to yank offers just to clean up a mess.
  19. we could ask for
  20. I'm pro Gerry here....Gerry and HI have been rock‑solid about handling things the right way. They stay ahead of the curve without stepping on a kid’s moment, and they’ve shown over and over they’ll respect whatever the recruit asks for. The early info is part of why HI is so valuable, but the way they manage it is why recruits trust them. Both things can be true
  21. Johnson will announce at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, June 29 he got to be the HI 😀
  22. Congrats, man - that’s awesome news. Hope the big weekend treats you right and everything goes smooth. Enjoy it, celebrate it, and don’t worry about Camara’s timeline. You’ve got the much bigger commitment on deck.
  23. That all lines up with how TickPick operates. Their buyer protections are pretty strong, and the fact the seller doesn’t get paid until after the transfer and the event gives you a ton of leverage. The penalties for listing seats you don’t actually own are steep, so the system really pushes sellers to deliver exactly what they advertised. And yeah, last‑minute ticket hunting can get dicey, but with how their no‑fee setup works and how quickly transfers happen once UT loads everything, you’re in a solid spot. Sounds like you’ve got everything you need to book the rest of the trip without stressing over the tickets. Hope you have an awesome trip - sounds like it’s shaping up to be a good one.
  24. TickPick is solid - use them quite a bit. The reason they show a late delivery date isn’t because the seller is sketchy - it’s because Texas doesn’t actually release the tickets to season ticket holders until late July or early August. Once UT loads the tickets into everyone’s accounts, most sellers transfer them pretty quickly. That 9/11 date is just the ‘latest possible’ window TickPick uses so they don’t over‑promise. And yeah --- one of the big reasons people use TickPick is the no‑fee pricing. What you see is what you pay, which is why their listings sometimes look better than StubHub or SeatGeek. If you bought with a credit card, you’re protected either way, but realistically you’ll have your tickets well before your trip.
  25. I love the Colt story as much as anyone - it’s one of the best parts of Texas history. And honestly, that’s what makes this QB room fun. Every guy in it has a real path, and Sark’s track record says someone unexpected usually takes a big jump. If Arch does stay in 2027, it just gives Lacy, Bell, Knutson, and Laurence more time to develop the right way. Whoever rises out of that group is going to be a legit starter, not a placeholder. It’s a good problem to have again.
