Originally I thought this was a brilliant strategy by Sark, but this national-level distraction is Joey’s wet dream. In an instant, the Sorsby disaster—one of the biggest scandals in NCAA history and a national embarrassment for Tech—has faded into the background. And Joey McGuire, who looked awful, immoral, and sleazy with his handling of Sorsby, suddenly gets to take the high ground. The media is totally letting him do it, too.

OTF literally has more than 10x the number of YT subscribers as IT. What a colossal error

Even after I joined OTF I kept following some of the other YT content, but not anymore. It’s just nails on a chalkboard. OTF really is the only place worth visiting.

The precedent this would set is so perverse to contemplate. It also would completely upend the actual case law precedents. Sorsby’s case is MUCH worse, for example, than the ISU players. It would be pure and naked self-interest by the judge.

This is utterly reasonable, and why most of us respect the hell out of you and your approach to running this business.

@Rod Babers “In Tech’s eyes, this has been a successful offseason.” I love you, brother, but that is a laughable statement. They just spent $6M+ on a QB who in all likelihood will never play a down for them. A team with national championship aspirations just a few weeks ago is now scrambling to either throw their morals in the garbage to re-gain his eligibility or rummage through the trash heap for a backup QB, and is so desperate for relevance that they try to cheap-talk their way into the national conversation by puffing their chest out against Texas. This offseason has been a disaster for them.

I initially read the title as the “Feces of Desperation” which is also apropos for these cockroaches.

Here’s the thing—they are desperate to appear competent and hold onto the good graces of their fanbase after they bumbled their way into a $6M QB portal debacle. After ALL the millions they pumped into their roster, they may well lose a game or two on the easiest schedule in America. It’s the lowest hanging fruit imaginable to cheap-talk their way into a fake war of words with Sark.

This helps nobody but Tech. Texas needs to not get baited into this because it’s a lose-lose.
