Hey TTH24. Love the passion for UT soccer! Are the substitution rules for women’s college soccer like professional men’s? Once u are subbed for are you done for the game or can u come back in?

What a convenient narrative for Tech. Will continue to romp in weak B12 and not have to play difficult non-conf games which guarantees perennial playoff invite. Meanwhile SEC/B10 teams lucky to survive their conf schedules without suffering fatal third loss and missing playoffs because of lame selection process.

I think the SEC, Big10, ESPN and Fox should announce they are holding a closed door summit to save College Sports and watch the collective others’ heads explode. Time to unify and quit trying to appease the pretenders!

Do you guys feel Julian Sayin is that elite? I honestly didn’t watch him much beyond Texas game. Always felt he benefitted from the team around him and wasn’t asked to do much but admittedly small sample size.

Now I know what it feels like to be a Tech football fan. Deluded into thinking we were good based upon inferior opponents then being a no show when it counted

I’ve been watching ticket prices for a while and they are not coming off much. My daughter and son in law are flying in from NYC and I promised them good tickets since they’ve never been to a game at DKR. Ideally, I want section 4 or 5 lower west side but insane prices. I went to Vandy last year and UGA and Clemson in ‘24 and sat in those sections and these prices are significantly more. Trying to wait it out but not wanting to disappoint. Any advice…..willing to eat corn dog and mayo for ticket?

I have come around to liking the super conference. Otherwise you are regulating the market and subsidizing the weak which ultimately creates a lesser product IMO. The left out schools will fill the gap between the new supers and DII and DIII. If the market wants to see those teams play they will have the tv deals to back it all. Otherwise, people have voted with their pocketbook and it was never meant to be.

Here is my caveman understanding of the situation. Now that we are paying players only the blue bloods can afford that because they have the lucrative tv deals (ie SEC and Big10) all the rest of the schools don’t like that and want to be subsidized via pooling/sharing of tv rev even though they contribute little to nothing to the pool so that they can carry the same player payroll and compete for natty. This is pure socialism IMO The proposed law also restricts SEC/B10 from expanding and contracting in an attempt to keep them regaining market power. this whole thing wreaks. Am I off base here?

Way above my pay grade but if there is any chance we get stuck with this if we stay and we are currently allowed to secede I believe we should move forward with secession ASAP rather than risk the Cody circus
