Since we are almost to August that means Texas athletics is on the horizon.

First sport up is Soccer!

And with the hiring of a New Coach (National Champion at UCLA) Coach Bates.

schedule has already been released and Texas has infused a bunch of new transfers into the program. Expectations are to compete in the SEC and win some tournament games.

For those unaware here is the New soccer coach entering her first year hailing from UCLA where she won a National Championship.

Ava McDonald is really the star. SEC Freshmen of the Year. All-SEC Honors. Team was bad last year. With a lot of the infusion of portalers we’ll get a better sense in the exhibitions on what they have.

Any info on where to stream the games? Saw this morning game 1 was moved up to August 12th 🎉 can’t wait. Coach Bates is a breath of fresh air for the program. 

Fall sports only two weeks away 🤘

I'm with you...no idea what is going on in the Soccer world.

Games will be on SEC Network at SEC+ for conference. Noncon games are probably gonna be on ESPN+ for the most part.

Expectations for year one should be to compete in the top 4-8 range of the SEC

make the tournament and win a game or two

within a few years I expect Coach Bayes will have Texas in the top echelons of the Sport contending for National Championships.

Preseason rankings are out for this upcoming season: 

 

No Texas. Expected. I expect they’ll get into the final ranking in the end of the season if all goes according to plan.
