42 Days Until Kickoff: Who Is Your Favorite No. 42?
Bobby Dillon tho way before my time should be on this list somewhere.

OU’s #3 WR trying to flex
If and thats a big if, Texas OL can minimize the dumb penalties and get to their mark 75% of the time, I dont think it will matter if they know what play has been called. The upside of this Offense with the talent they have aquired should be top 5 in the country. Again that is if they dont have the mental errors/lapses or penalties. Even with the play diagnosed if they drop that many into coverage, how do you account for Archs feet. If you dont drop that many how do you cover Wingo, Mosely, Coleman and whicher back is in. Texas really did a good job getting the numbers advantage whichever way it goes in the passing game. What worries me is blocking in the run game, especially when it has to be between the tackles. G/C/G last year did not demonstrate the want to or personality to get that done. On offense and defense Texas needs to dictatate tempo and keep teams off balance.

OU’s #3 WR trying to flex
I doubt seriously that Texas will go into that game given the change in the chess pieces with anywhere near the same gameplan. If Texas develops into 3/4 of the ceiling i dont think OU has a chance. With that said, if Texas does NOT put this puzzle together, then BlowU and whatever edge PL can provide them extra ammo. Either way it depends on how Texas melds together. If they loose this game, it will be a direct reflection of this program and direction they are headed.

Jett Bush is my guy here. Theres something about a player that was never counted on that comes out of nowhere and shows out.

OU’s #3 WR trying to flex
I know hes a bit salty but i doubt Sark has any regret for what followed. Id also venture a guess that Sark doesnt have him circled. BLOW U yes but not him.

Colin Simmons: 'My individual goals are the team goals'
One question for Colin or any other leader or coach is how Important it will be for Texas to get off the faster starts. 1. Lets your defense eat 2. Gets younger players more time for game development/experience 3. It will allow your starters and 2 deep to rest and thus lessen opportunities for injury. Bottom line is this is a long season and the physical and mental grind wears anyone down. What say you?

Colin has grown alot. Im impressed with the legacy over thw me mentality. Records and stats will take care of themselves.

Royal
I would say no commitment is firm til the ink is on the paper. Someones word no longer means anything. Its no knock on anyone. Young people are swayed and in some cases situations change. Dont blame em, its part of the process.

Now that the shoe has dropped...Other than Calis Williams is there any other recruits Texas is awaiting decisions for??

Sales Update
Sales and LEC...are these the last uncommitted guys Texas is currently pursuing? I know there will be 1 or 2 senior evals and hopefully a flip or 2. It seems that every year all commitments are getting earlier and earlier.

Monshun Sales challenges Sauce Gardner
Haha...Sark is a great coach and fits the bill for what a Texas HC must be. Juggling donors, NIL, rabid fanbase, unreal expectations every year. Not many coaches are built for that. Winning at Texas is just not enough. You have to beat teams bad enough to leave no doubt, and you better not loose to ATM or Joklahoma. And why did you loose to Day and Smart again. Just to name a few. Im one of those guys, but sometomes i have to step back and look at the totality of all Sark has accomplished. Then I go sit in my corner shut up and color.

Looking pre Mendoza Rourke @ IU 11-2 (2024) Jordon McCloud JMU 11-1 (2023) Todd Centio JMU 8-3 (2022) Cole Johnson JMU 12-2 (2021) 14-2 (2019) QB Coach and Recruiting Coord @ NCST Coached and developed a young man named Philip Rivers. No 4 overall pick. Dude wins, doesn't seem to matter a whole lot who the QB is. Solid system...and IMHO one of the top 2 or 3 to coach since 2000. It took him awhile to break through and climb the ladder, but you have to give credit where credit is due.

I would agree, however they have a very very good coach in Cignetti. That dude just wins every where he goes. Do I think he will get developed the same. No. Do I think IU will be a winning program. As long as Cignetti is there. Absolutely. All I am saying is dont put the cart before the horse. IUs offensive scheme is good, and they play disciplined ball. And lets not forget, Texas spent a while walking through the wilderness before they got their footing back as well.

ESPN ranks top 10 college coaches headed into the season
Id like to see a ranking of overall coach+staff and another that has all head coaches as a cumulative across the athletic department. Also curious which AD is the best in the country.

54 Days Until Kickoff: Who's your favorite No. 54?
Not number 54 but the 54th overall NFL pick AD Mitchell.

OTF Sideline Debate: If Texas had to pick a sponsor jersey patch, who would you go with and why?
Lambo should put a Texas logo on a special car. Burnt orange Longhorn Badging. Tesla would be an option here too. Texas markets their logo and keep the other stuff off the jerseys.

OTF Sideline Debate: If Texas had to pick a sponsor jersey patch, who would you go with and why?
A company founded in Texas and donated before the others mentions and likely is the reason Dell exists. Texas Instruments. TI cutting edge since the 1930s. My preference would be no sponsor as the Texas Brand is as valuable as any in the world and sells itself.

USC fan base out on Lincoln Riley - Yahoo article
As much as I dont like the dude, he ghosted ou, and he has developed as many top end qbs as anyone in the game. HC may not be his strong suit but could pretty much name his next OC job and any program would be remiss if they didnt at least consider it.

Nansen
Nansen is high IQ type that is creative. If anything I think Muschamps style will enhance what Nansen does thus making it significantly easier moving forward to recruit both hs and portal players. I also beleive Nansens style will allow Muschamp to move more pieces around the board to create more havoc not just at the LB position but also on the D line and by extention the 2ndary.

Ismael Camara is the latest blue-chip big human Texas hopes to develop into an NFL prospect
Id guess it also helps complete the puzzle of why and when linemates do what they are doing.

One Big 12 HC’s opinion on Brendan Sorsby
Soresby jas more baggage than a 747 full of Kardashians and Hiltons. Any franchise looking at QB knows the 1st attribute of a QB is leadeship. This dude just demonstrated the absolute disregard for team mates and worse his own family. Mental health is a cop out for bad decisions.

NCAA dropping Tech
Let them get the DOJ further involved. All schools on their schedule should immediately refuse to play them. Further other conference commisioners should sue the B12 or try to force the B12 to drop them from the conference.

Lubbock Judge Grants Injunction for Brendan Sorsby
Any credibility that college sports had left has gone out the window with this ruling. Legalized gambling on sports across all 50 states and everyone is taking a piece. NIL with no real guardrails. Everyone knew there would be a few schools that would push the envelope and still not one entity took any control. No conference commissioner, not the NCAA, and not any federal or state government. College sports has opened Pandoras box and they are reaping what they sowed.
