Who have you seen that is a comp for Silas Boldin? I'd go with someone like Trindon Holliday out of LSU. Tho Boldin may be a bit quicker but Holiday a bit faster top end.

When recruits verbally commit to programs like Oregon with a blank NIL check, how many of them are actually trying to squeeze a bit more from other programs that they may actually want to go?

1. Does Texas also advise that 50k in Texas is Not the same as it is in Cali, affordability state taxes etc? 2. Has Texas considered doing a high school coaches convention in other states ie LA GA MS etc? Would it help their footprint recruiting out of state talent if they did?

I don't know if JB has the speed necessary to play CB. What I do know is the guy eats drinks and sleeps film study and finds himself in the right spot more often than not, gets others in the secondary in spots and alignments to make plays.

The guy would be a T Sweat or B Murph type. Of the 3 Texas signed which do you believe will end up as a 1 or 2 round draft pick? Which one of them is going to force O Coord to change or alter a game plan? That's what the guy does. An honest question of curiosity

Seeing as every DT that had an OV to Texas less 1, who has a lot of interest in UM and ATM I would say it's a long shot to get to the 4 number Texas needs....much more likely they get 0 or 1. And def not an aggy, just a realist.

The portal doesn't produce many dts that are going to be "that guy." There will have to be some monumental change to get those guys in this class. That's the reality of it. Coming away this year with none or 1 does not fill that void.

More relevant in what??? Did they start an underwater basket weaving team or something. UT and blOwU kept the big 12 afloat for years. Outside of basketball they are sunk. Probably 5 years or less and it will go the way of the pac12.

How much does this truly impact recruiting? What facilties do these other programs have that UT doesn't? Glad to see at least some progress to move ahead.

What facility/s can or need to be improved /updated to be more enticing to recruits? I keep hearing places like Oregon have these great facilities.... where is Texas lacking that may make a difference?

having a top 10 class is great, it's better when you get the guys you need. See DT recruiting for example.

T Smith, Filsaime, Mack, A Hill late flips all 4 and 5 star recruits. That's 4 in 3 years. And yes the carousel happens every year, however it does not mean that recruits that want anything to do with Texas will fall out of that tree.

While I agree with some of what is being said the reality is Texas over the last three years has relied on late flips/ coaching carousel/ bad seasons to complete recruiting classes. That either means one of two things. They either prefer waiting or they are recruiting from behind in a lot of cases. It's a dangerous game to play either way. Those dominoes will not always fall your way statistically speaking.
