Note on Jaime Ffrench

OnTexasFootball doesn't agree with the reports that it's Miami or LSU for Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin WR Jaime Ffrench.

OTF does believe that it's currently Texas vs. Miami. We have wondered which team would end up being the competition for Texas, who continues to have confidence, and that is the Hurricanes based on a call earlier this morning.

Tennessee and LSU round out the four in contention.

Ffrench remains scheduled to announce August 30, his mothers birthday.

Other than it being close to home why would ANY kid wanna play for miami? They haven’t done anything of substance for years and barely have been putting guys into the league lately.

This. Miami is a joke of a program at this point

What reports have shown Miami v. LSU?

My understanding was LSU was always outside looking in and Miami slotted into number 2 spot behind Texas by default.

Texas won't miss on Jamie Ffrench in this class, even if he verbals to Miami on the 30th. Sarkisian and Chris Jackson are too good of recruiters to lose, plus, Texas' season on the field is going to look really attractive for future WR's. #HookEm

Thanks Gerry,

I was going to ask you about this in another thread.  Much appreciated!

Texas until Sark took over was not on the right track either....not saying Cristobal is on Sarks level but he may be pushing Miami in the right direction.

The women at South Beach

Ffrench is so impressive on and off the field. He's a 'must-get' prospect. Really hope he's a Longhorn!

I think Ffrench will (or should) look at Johntay's development and play time to determine his decision.

with that being said. This dude is a longhorn and is a Hi and I will not be convinced otherwise.

Anyone who chooses Miami over Texas at this point in isn't focused on Football. They probably prefer booger sugar and babes.

Im guessing he visited LSU/Miami since Texas was his leader and he wanted to give the other two a chance to see if they could catch up. Also a good leverage move. Still think he wants to be at Texas but Miami will push hard.

So Oregon the sleeper on this one? 😂😂😂

Miami has a big time NIL program - you never know.  Hope he likes playing in front of a half empty (best case) stadium vs garbage opponents on Saturdays.

I don’t think johntay would be the right example because i think he’ll be fourth in the wide receiver rotation at best.
