Sunday Recruiting: Feeling good

Short and sweet this morning.

OTF is feeling very good about two prospects the Longhorns are recruiting.

One prospect is currently committed to another school.

And one prospect is not committed anywhere, at least for a couple of weeks.

Thanks Gerry. That's a Lott of information. 😁

Did you see or know of any surprise visitors for the game?

On some commits, Derrek Cooper arrived by himself and stayed the duration of the game.

Jermaine Bishop, Smoke Matthews, Dia Bell, John Turntine III and Max Wright were all seen together, chopping it up with one another.

Texas hosted more OOS prospects this year in Dallas than what you would typically think.

Combination of Saturday being the only opportunity this month to play in front of recruits, as well as a weaker home slate. Longhorns took advantage of the opportunity.

Out of all the kids there yesterday I felt it was a big one for Cooper after what he had seen so far this year

@CJ Vogel @Gerry Hamilton how does sark handle these visits since we are not on campus?  He or any of the staff able to spend time with them more then a hello?

Nope. Basically "here is our team, here is the environment"

A lot of the work comes from post game calls with recruits who visited for the game.

No in person contact allowed on neutral sites

Hope so, and hope he saw freshmen getting meaningful snaps at key positions and key game moments. Think about Cooper, Baxter, Simon, Gibson, Clark, and maybe Wisner all in the same position room together next year. Just roll out waves of rb talent at teams!
