one of my favorites back in the day.  Lubbock’s own Taje Allen.  Played several years in the League and won a Super Bowl with the Rams.  Also was Rod Weaver’s roommate for the Sugar Bowl, doh!

ROJO may not be the best player with that number, but he is certainly the most beloved here.

I gotta go Eric Metcalf. But that’s a great list of players that wore #2. 

Eric Metcalf was a freak. As well as being an all around weapon on the football field, he was a 2 time NCAA long jump champion. 
I wish he would have been in an offense that could have better utilized his skills. He was a talent that was ahead of his time.

If Golden had spent more time as a Longhorn he would definitely be ranked higher.   Loved both Metcalf and RJ too.  

Sergio Kindle wore #2.  I liked watching him play.

I watched RoJo put the team on his back to beat Baylor his Sr. year.  I really feel like that team really started to turn the culture around from a player perspective.  So many good young men, RoJo one of, if not the best.
