Jaydon Blue update

Don't remember his effort and work ethic being an issue at Texas

Cowboys coaches reportedly have concerns with fifth-round pick RB Jaydon Blue’s work habits😬

Former Cowboys coach Glenn ‘Stretch’ Smith said current coaches have expressed that Blue is “borderline lazy” and that the team is not thrilled with his work habits.

In Dane Brugler’s “The Beast” draft guide, he noted Blue’s maturity being a potential issue: “NFL scouts say he may need time to learn what it takes to be a professional.”

The Cowboys have high hopes for Blue ahead of his rookie season, but it sounds like he has some off-the-field matters to sort out.

Couldn’t happen to a more worthy owner or GM. I have despised the Cowboys ever since Jerry took over.Miserable kodger.

Blue has had issues since high school. He was on the brink at Texas at one point. Now that he's out of our locker room, he has to do it on his own.

That will be the last Longhorn Jerry drafts

He's going to draft Arch if the Mannings have any say about it.

So some dude who hasn't been around the game in 20+ years has inside knowledge of behind-the-scenes happenings with a rookie RB? As my son would say, that's sus.

That's the way I look at it as well.

I hope he has success and by all accounts he is a nice kid, but something like this isn't that outrageous or super surprising if you followed him since HS. He wasn't exactly drama-free at Texas either.

The guy no-showed the East-West Shrine Bowl earlier this year and didn't even provide a reason. That was not a good look.

Hopefully he finds his footing in the NFL and can make an impact. Talented player when he can hold onto the ball.

I wouldn’t be motivated to work hard for the Cowboys either! 😂

POTD

This article is out of pocket, my my favorite pastime is hating the Cowboys. I've been following Blue since rookie mini camp and everyone I've read, listened to, or watched spoke of how impressed they were with Blue. One bad article is an anomaly not the norm. If Dallas doesn't want him, they're free to cut him after preseason being the 5th round picks have to make the roster and I bet he'll be picked up faster than when hit turned the corner on Clemson.

For Manning’s sake, I hope that does not happen.  Cowboys are a hot mess.  They always will be as long as the Joneses own the team.

Why would “the Mannings” want Arch drafted by the Cowboys?

Not sure, but Archie said that if they had their way he would go to the Cowboys.

Archie Manning, a former NFL quarterback and patriarch of the Manning football family, created a stir in December 2024 when he mentioned in a viral TikTok video that he hoped his grandson, Arch Manning, would play for the Dallas Cowboys after completing his college career at Texas.
