  1. IIRC Ruth Bader Ginsberg was our short yardage back that game.
  2. Just saying Texas annoys the ags greatly.
  3. Lots of so called busts managed to blossom with a change of scenery or sometimes two. There was a great A Football Life on the NFL Channel that featured VY and Leinert where both admitted they didn’t work hard enough in the pros because it came so easy for them in college. And, Jeff Fisher was an awful coach.
  4. Payday loans for $800, Alex
  5. Can’t wait for the Lane Kiffen rule to be challenged by the agent community.
  6. Considering Rudy never worked in a steel mill or watched his best friend die, that Dan Devine actually went out of his way to suit up for a game, no one on the sideline or crowd chanted for him and was carried off the field as a gag, I’d say most every walk on has as good a true story to tell.
  7. One of my favorite Cotton Bowls ever!
  8. Collective bargaining can be a be careful what you wish for moment for players, especially the elite ones. For the most part collective bargaining helps the greater good but will in all likelihood negatively affect the elite players.
  9. I’d probably move Tubbs ahead of Bobino, but Bobino’s play to divert Lendale White on 4th and 2 to force the stop in the NCG remains incredibly underrated.
  10. Ty was a really good player on some marginal teams. Shankle stepped in as a true freshman when Lance Taylor went down and never let go of the position.
  11. Mark Lang was a great unsung LB on those early 80s defenses.
  12. He wore 60 most of his career, just like Jeff Leiding.
  13. Bobby Layne was considered an excellent DB on those late 40s Texas teams.
  14. No centers here, but if you needed one my pick would be Bill Wyman followed by Lyle Sendlein and Mike Baab.
  15. Much like USC in 2004 I don’t think we were ready to win but would have been a better game.
