Best Qb's in this draft class...? Let's Go!!

Featured Replies

Alright Horns family...write it in blood. In 5 years, gimme a redraft of the qb's out of this class coming up.

1. Drew Ailar

2. Cam Ward

3. Jaxson Dart

4. Sheduer Sandersย

5. Quinn Ewers

Quinn will be a better pro than any on the list, and have a career statistically thatโ€™s better than any other QB thatโ€™s made it to the league.

Quinn playing big in clutch moments, showing he doesnโ€™t get rattled and puts the ball in spots with pinpoint accuracy. ย  I hope he enjoys a nice career in NFL after getting us two more wins! ย  Hook em!!

I wouldn't bet against QE in the nfl vs those guys.ย
ย
I also bet he gets taken in round 1

Vincent Young didn't do too bad, but we all expected way more. Interesting, but I'm on board with it. Good take.

Drew Allar upside is highest IMO ... he just starting to ascend in year two as a starter.ย

He will be in the 2026 draft.ย

ย

Good take, he doesnโ€™t have the natural arm talent and the scramble wonโ€™t help as much. Lesser Jalen Hurts my bet.ย

All the advanced stats say he is being asked to do the most in terms of the throws heโ€™s making, throws into windows, and etc. I donโ€™t get the comment above about arm talent. He has a big arm and has mobility that gets him out of situations.ย

Nailed it. It's an elite arm; there is elite juice, and he doesn't need to throw very hard for the ball to go a long way with good velocity. He's mobile enough for it to be a factor at the next level. He's not going to be a guy who gets designed runs, but he can extend plays and create yards with his legs, although he isn't really an east and west scrambler โ€“ something he'll probably work on more this off-season. I'm not a stats guy, but I am a film guy, and do have access to the coaches copy. When you watch the All-22, you get a clear picture: the Penn State receivers do not create separation, and Allar is asked to make very tight window throws.ย

Allar, Ward, Ewers, Sanders, Dart

Dartโ€™s intelligence is highly suspect to me. Sanders talents have been exaggerated by the media and lack of elite competition. Heโ€™s gonna have an ego crisis when NFL defenses expose him. I could see him throwing his team under the bus (OL, etc) and being the type to try to force a trade when the going gets tough

I think you have Sheduer pegged wrong. Being the NFL rich son doesn't lend you to being liked and he was heavily shaded during his high school career and recruitment. When he played well before, it was because it was "lesser" competition. Moved to the big 12 at a desolate Colorado, with no o-line, and took more sacks than anyone, but look at the numbers. In that year?, his stats were on par with Beck and Ewers as tops in college football. Imagine if he had the benefit of a Texas or Georgia O line...? Then this year, heisman reciever, and a 9-4 season. Johnny U award. Look, I know you don't like him or his father, or their social media presence, or the swag, but honestly, you're not supposed to. That's ok. To denigrate the young man who's overcome a different type of adversity that you can't wrap your head around and understandย  is really alarming and near sighted. #2 made amazing plays the last 2 years at Colorado, no denying that.

Heโ€™s by far the best QB on any list posted here, but the hate is real and itโ€™s blinding to most.ย

Wonder if this will change after the combine and pro day results.ย

Question...How do Quinn's strengths and weaknesses play out in pro settings vs. college ball?ย

Drew is not the #1 QB, far from it.

Go back and look at the Nebraska game. Threw a terrible pick 6 (all on him). Rather than taking responsibility, complained that he got sacked more than Raiola.ย

Big12 is a G5 league now without Texas and OU, and Colorado even dodged the top 3 teams of that conference. So forgive me if Iโ€™m less than impressed with CU in the Big12

Dude has a bad attitude that comes out any time things donโ€™t go his way. I know you probably think Iโ€™m making this about race- Iโ€™m absolutely not. I just really think heโ€™s immature with a bad attitude that reminds me of Kyler Murray. And Kyler Murray has been a bust in the NFL imo

Agree. Allar doesn't lack arm strength/talent. He can make every NFL throw without stress

I worry about Quinn's lack of athleticism (body quickness & reactive quickness) in the NFL. Missiles are flying every play at you. And then when that happens, are you an off script playmaker? Feet or arm (throwing guys open under duress). He's going to have to truly prove that at the next level.ย

Exactly!! He wouldโ€™ve done much better with a head coach that actually wanted him and wanted to build a team with and around him. Chris Johnson has maintained that he was a big reason why he was able to have that 2k yard season. Randy Moss wanted to play with him. The way that org and Fisher responded to him after Steve McNairโ€™s tragic murder was criminal and derailed his career IMO. Iโ€™ll never forgive Fisher for the way he treated him.ย

It's funny how when it's a guy people don't like, they always point to character, but Brett Farve and Aaron Rodgers get passes. Tom was just passionate. I could go on and on. Jaxson Dart had a way worse meltdown... Caleb Williams, hell Carson Beck. Funny how the Big 12 is crap now....but before he got there, the Big 12 was too tough for him to be successful in. Now that he's performed at a high level, now it's trash. ASU just took us to the wire... and they won the Big 12, like we did last year. I get it. Hate what you don't understand, but that kid and Travis give up their NIL for teammates. Also does a lot of work with kids that doesn't get publicity. I wonder if you felt the same way about Jay Cutler. Juss saying.
