Five newcomers practicing with Texas

We mentioned Lance Jackson, Justus Terry, Michael Terry III and Cole Brevard as practicing with Texas currently.

Arkansas transfer LB Brad Spence is also practicing with the team per Coach Sark today.

All five players traveled with the team. They will be on the sidelines for the game in street clothes.

It’s fantastic that they get a chance to get some early practice reps especially with a CFP team. Also traveling with a team to the CFP quarterfinals has to be a tremendous experience for them.

My thoughts also. How cool would it be to practice with the team leading up to the game and experience a playoff game with your new teammates.

These practices are huge for the high school and portal guys to start learning the system. I predict that Lance Jackson sees the field a decent bit next year

If Texas wins Wednesday, that's a few more practices for Lance, Justus, Brevard and Spence ... Lance and Justus will essentially get two spring practices (as in 10+ practices twice) prior to August camp. Huge

Is there a rule preventing 2025 recruits from being on the Natty roster? In this hypothetical, they should be enrolled in classes by gameday...

Correct. I just don't see it from a coaches perspective ... that would mean a team was decimated by injury at a position or in the portal.

I get what you are thinking for sure.

That might be the difference between J Terry being ready to start in Columbus week 1 and not. Based on how the winter portal shook out, Texas may well need him to start. So this is just absolutely massive.

Awesome for Justus. 1st trip is back to his home state in the playoffs. Sure he will have a nice crowd of friends and family ,🤘

Chance Jackson grows in a 5 tech/3 Tech?

We want him to play Jack?? He’s a monster for his size

Just casually one hand grabs the ball, lol. Seriously, Lance Jackson is massive. That kid is going to be a monster.

Lance Jackson is also very svelt.  The dude is just all muscle.  Terry and Jackson on the same d-line is scary athleticism to counter if you are a D coordinator scheming for a game......oooffff!!!   Oh, just for fun, throw in Simmons, January, Orogbo, Charles and Sharma.   Need more dudes, but, WOW!!!!!  Just, WOW!!!  I do not EVER remember that much speed, strength, size and athleicism on our D-line....and that is going back a piece.  I'm talking the 70's here boys and girls.

Bobby, Your thoughts?
