I would not pursue Micah Hudson.  And a reminder, Texas prioritized Wingo over him the first time.

I'm waiting on 3-4 DL names to drop in the portal. If they do, Texas will have serious interest.

  • He will take some time to make a decision. In regards to Texas, I bet they kick the tires, but I don't think if they will go all out for him. Look at who Texas has pursued at WR in the portal und

Johnny Nansen been waiting on this one?

Might be tough for Texas to get a high dollar CB like Davis. Gotta figure most of our resources will be spent upgrading the DL and WR.

That will be part of the juggle. $$ allotment will be directed towards biggest need and right now you have a handful of biggest needs at one spot — DL.

WR will be no issue. They want to play in Starks offense and caught passes from Arch Manning.. The big selling point for T. Davis is playing for Johnny Nansen again.

I just mean that we are looking for a difference maker to add to the WR room and they don't come cheap

All of the above sounds about right.

I was at a party last week where there were several former Aggie players and a current (higher up) defensive staff member. The staff member said they were going hard at Hudson of “close to a mil, a little under”. Hudson was a priority for them. I told him they need to worry about a hell of a lot more than a WR….

Sounds like they are chasing star ranking vs actual need.  Makes one appreciate that Sark and crew target specific players that will compliment the team instead of just chasing rankings.  All the WRs they are chasing won't make a difference if that Oline is still swiss cheese - reminds me of the Herman days at Texas.

Why isn’t he going to the league is my question. Thought he was a day 1 or 2 projection when in the portal last year.

Good question ... I saw his name in a mock draft recently, I think it was rounds 1-3 and he was tabbed either 2nd or 3rd round, so why play another year in college?  Unless he thinks he can pull a lot more NIL$ than NFL$ ...

(just checked two sites, one has him CB5 in the draft, 2nd round, the other has him going in round 3)

Aggies think throwing lots of money at players is answer, we saw the result since 2022   “train wreck “

Will Nansen still be with us next year? I’d think he’d be a prime DC candidate.

Nansen came from a P4 school - the DC offer would have to be pretty lucrative to get him to leave IMO.

100% - my head will explode (along with PK and KB)  if we add a WR or TE before DT's....

Yes, he left the DC position at Arizona to come Texas.

Help me out here...we will need at minimum 4 portal DL? As Sydir enters we show basically nothing left, by my calculations we will have January and Mills with experience. It seems like we should begin serious looks because we need some depth!

The Texas staff is fully aware of their needs and are no doubt working to fill those needs. I'm sure they started working on it before we even know

My question is, would we prefer Dalton Johnson or Dillon Thieneman at safety?

Dillon Thieneman

It worked for atm last time…🤫

Could this potentially open up the possibility some of those receivers would look elsewhere??

EDIT: link isn’t working but it’s reported Brian Hartline has interviewed for the West Virginia job.
