I want a super conference or major realignment so Tech can get left out (because nobody forgot what they did).

How funny would it be if Houston, Baylor, TCU, SMU, OSU all found homes and Tech got left out?

I have come around to liking the super conference. Otherwise you are regulating the market and subsidizing the weak which ultimately creates a lesser product IMO. The left out schools will fill the gap between the new supers and DII and DIII. If the market wants to see those teams play they will have the tv deals to back it all. Otherwise, people have voted with their pocketbook and it was never meant to be. 

Sacramento State does not fill 100+K stadiums, as Bobby might say!

They want everything to be even and to share revenue.  No way.  The next thing you know big schools with a large fan base and a big brand will have to share the profits of all ticket sales, merchandise sales, and concession sales with schools that barely have athletic programs.

I want Baylor left in the cold because of what happened with Briles and Bliss 

They may try to kill the two geese that lay golden eggs but there are so many ways for it to backfire .  One.has to wonder how stupid this is.

This just sped up that process. You want to freeze expansion, we’ll add them now before the effective date. Then we’ll only play our conference members and the Big10. Oh, and we’re not pooling the media rights.

Only hardcore college football fans care about this and that's a pretty small number compared to the electorate as a whole

The woman sponsor of the bill seemed to insinuate that the SEC and the Big10 didn't really provide input like others did and both have shot back I think.  In some ways it would be good to have some legislation, but I don't think they should be legislating conference realignment, how many teams can be in a conference, etc.

The real business starts now. The behind the scenes lobbying and amendments to the bill on the floor etc. The Big 10 and SEC will use all their chips now no doubt. They say they will bring it to the floor , but without 60 votes Thune won't bring it imo.

Sure the 2 leagues want to stop it in the Senate. But if not the House is a different place , and see no way it gets done there anytime soon. We are all guessing, but I'd put my $ on no , or a very different version at the least.
